I'm sure this turned out to be 6 pages of aggies showing how to little brother.

Well... one comment said Aggy is the big brother.

Wow.
I completely see why A&M fans would not piss on you if you were on fire.
That is a lot of arrogance with such little competence to back it up.

Immigration, growing welfare issue, college debt bubble... nah UT-A&M need to play football!

And we work beside LSU graduate, Arkansas graduates, and even OM graduates. In my "smaller" South Texas city I can think of at least a half-dozen Vanderbilt graduates. My wife has family in the area that graduated from MSU.
And I know of a ton of Aggies that live and work in Atlanta and Nashville.
I get what you are sayin', but we fit in here. Auburn just needs to move to the SEC East.

I support it with a 9 game conference schedule so we can keep the iron bowl and Deep South oldest rivalry.

Agreed! Nothin' a nine game schedule doesn't fix.

Mike Slive was probably the best collegiate commissioner of all time, in any conference. He set the bar so high that he will be revered in sorts management circles for decades. This just shows how fricking stupid you are.
Coming from s state that elected Rick Perry and Gorge Bush, you morons in Texas know nothing if leadership. Basically dumbass Slive copied all the movies Delaney made. Slive literally did nothing innovative or original.

Nevusae the SEC was ruined by expansion due to incompetence leadership. And no one is willing to call Slive the incompenet moron he was. I will not get to travel to Neyland for a dozen years be use we added you Aggots in the West. The SEC is now basically two separate conferences which sucks. Of course you clowns were voted in because we were on track to lose millions without expansion. That is the only reason you are here.
Pretty much this. It's a damn shame. Here in Atlanta, the SEC melting pot, I work side by side with Gator fans, cocks, Vols, yet never play them anymore. Nothing personal against ATM sand Mizzou, but I sure miss playing some of the traditional east opponents.
You miss playing SOME of the traditional East opponents, but not all of them. Auburn once went 19 years without playing Kentucky. They went 23 years between games with Vandy. So, while you had long-standing matchups with UT, UF, and UGA, don't pretend that before expansion, SEC members played everyone regularly. Hell, you only played Ole Miss 12 times in a 56 year span, and LSU 15 times in a 52 year span.
I understand that Auburn feels like they are on the wrong side of the geographic dividing line. I'd be fine with you guys switching places with Missouri, but that would be a money loser for the conference since the Iron Bowl is a big draw, and everyone knows TSIO isn't going away, just like Auburn-UGA isn't going away. Maybe we need to go to 9 games, even though that would be a bit of a handicap competitively. But, the lament about not playing everyone in the league often enough comes off as a weak argument when SEC have a history of going years, or decades, without playing other SEC schools back when they were left to set their own schedules.

So Slive bootlegged The Fan, Tombstone, A Beautiful Life , and a few others?
And you hate him for that?

There's a simple solution.
Add a 9th conference game.
Saban is on board and pretty much nobody else.

Why do you think the Gumps won the SEC so many times? They feasted on bad teams while we played the big boys of the conference every year.

But wait, they beat A&M in an exhibition basketball game.
To be more precise, UT has beaten A&M the last time they met in men's basketball, men's football and men's baseball.
Other than the fact that Greg Abbott is a dick and should shut the frick up, that's the only factual info really relevant to restarting in Texas/A&M competition.
In other words, the definition of "scoreboard, bitch".

I really don't see what TAMU has to gain by this, really.

The best thing to ever happen to Ta&m was to move to the SEC. Ta&m wanted to continue the rivalry game with Texas but Texas said, "TO HELL WITH YOU". They used the leaving as an excuse to not play A&M because they knew they would lose to them (bad for recruiting). Now that they are turning the corner to becoming a competitive team again they come with open arms to play Ta&m. Why?....Because its to their advantage now...all to gain and nothing to lose.
Texas is like Notre Dame...they think they are all that. Screw them.

I agree and most on this board probably agree.
I think people underestimate that out of state rivalries with big state schools are as interesting as in-state rivalries.
Nothing is going to top Texas-OU for Texas, although Texas-Arkansas and Texas-LSU could be pretty cool.
Similarly, A&M bought into great interstate rivalries already, and if the SEC fixed its schedule and allowed another SEC game, it would have one more.
