There's not that much on our side IMO. Some of the older Ags yeah but younger people just generally don't care. None of my friends from college have ever called me up to discuss the longhorns

Ok, didn't know that; just saw the overall record.

Why do most Aggies not want to renew the series?

Is it just because of UT arrogance?

Classic Aggie. Always undefeated in games not played. 6-0 against Daddy Texas in their dreams, yet 0-6 against stepdaddy LSU in reality.

They wouldn't have beaten Johnny Football in Mack Brown's last two years, they had a losing season every year under Strong, and will be fortunate to make a bowl this year.

I don't think it's crazy to assume A&M wins those games.

But hey, good job trying to make this about LSU like you guys love to do.

Not sure you wanna start a series now. The last several years would have been gravy. It's all about timing.

I don't want the game to resume until after the following happens (in order):

1. A&M wins an SEC West title
2. A&M wins an SEC title
3. A&M wins a playoff national championship

The reason is that there are still too many big donors and decision makers that have the mindset that an 0-8 conference season is ok if A&M beats the t-sips.

Those same people judge success/failure based on comparison to t.u. Had t.u. had 3 straight 10-win seasons, Sumlin would have been fired a long time ago.

Not only that, but if you think "Bama paying the refs" is bad, you've never experienced games with Jon Bible, Cooper Castleberry and Randy Chrystal as officials.

They make the duo of Tom Ritter and Penn Wagers look completely unbiased and competent by comparison.

In fact, Jon Bible is STILL fricking A&M over every chance he gets from the replay booth.

Honest question:

Why do Texas fans (including a 93% vote of their student body) keep begging aggy to “please please please play us again?” If we refuse, does that make us a bad Dad? Sometimes Dad is just tired of junior’s shite and needs a break for awhile.

The state of Texas has it's own unique personality and history.. the level of pride can be irritating but not denied.

The Republic of Texas and it's constitution showcase an intense desire of excellence and independence that included blue prints for a world class institution of higher learning.

A decade after the civil war the Morrill Land Grant Act was instituted in Texas in the form of what is now known as TAMU.

UT's doors would not eventually open until 7 years later. A "Yankee" college being forced upon them did not gain the favor of a lot of Texas leaders and the matter became complicated from the beginning.

A mere decade in the college was almost closed as they had squandered public funding and had lost the respect of the community it was designed to support. Texas had it's own plans, was forced to institute a different college earlier and the roll out plan for the land grant college was ill fated even if it did have the states support.

The first 50 years of TAMU reflected a unsupported fiasco that was a constant drain. In addition to discussions to close the college the idea of converting it to an insane negro asylum or having the University of Texas system take over were the leading options. Texas administration on two occasions brought up amendments to the state constitution to rid themselves of the college and ultimately shut off all support to which spelled certain doom for TAMU.

In the 1930's the lifeline was given to TAMU, they would share one third of the interest gained annually from the public land that the state of Texas had given to the University of Texas... those million plus acres were generating very lucrative proceeds from gas and oil deposits.

Basically TAMU was a "Yankee" project that was forced upon the state and served no other purpose than a constant drain to the state and tax payers. Carving off a sizable portion of UT's interest dividends to support it only made matters worse.

Aggy is and always will be a Yankee stain left on the face of the state and nothing more than the equivalent of section 8 housing recipients who lucked into getting part of our trust fund & now run around telling everybody how rich they are.

Shortly after TAMU was designated a third of the AUF money the state had to pull back and maintain the percentage yet only allow UT administration to manage the funds... in other words the dumbasses were blowing it on the wrong things and investing it poorly.

The red headed step child wants everyone to believe they've been stuck under the evil empire all these years, in reality the leeches simply jumped to your boat for more revenue stream that they never earned nor deserve.

In aggy words Texas is arrogant, in reality it's more like "frick you peasant, bring your shine box so we can drop your annual check in it".

I say play the game, if the leeches continue to take a third of the state's offering the least we should get in return is the opportunity to win two thirds of the games again.

Play the game in Austin each year.. we'll set your section 8 housing check at midfield before the coin toss and save you a trip.

In other words never. Haven't won a divisional title since before the turn of the century nor a national title since before WWII.

Like y'all even have a choice in the matter. The game will be played when Texas decides it will be played.. denying that or not realizing it is your qualification for being an aggy.

you get that article from the same source that has TAMU as the 3rd largest university in the world?

Aggy math:

"We suck a third of UT's aux funds yet somehow we report having 3 times more money."

Aggy rich, they chain a pitbull to the car that's worth more than the house it's parked in front of.

Nothing.

But Florida felt the same way about playing FSU and yet they do because their state makes them.

Aggy should play Texas on Thanksgiving like days of yore.

LSU certainly won't stand in the way.
