It never ceases to crack me up how sips try to act like A&M is some little cow college like it was 75 years ago or that Texas just dominates over A&M in some way still
In this century alone:
Football: 9-3 advantage Texas
Basketball: 22-8 advantage Texas
Baseball: 38-22 advantage Texas
Texas owns the most recent scoreboard in every single sport both schools have with exception to women's golf.
Seems pretty dominant...
2000's sucked for A&M as we were on the end of the B12. Mid '80s through the '90s were a very different story. One thing I will always find funny was you guys say we obsess about you as our Super Bowl but we literally fired Fran the day he had just beaten your arse for the second straight year.
None of that crap means much though in 2023 but carry on. Let's see how you do in the SEC where your 15th ranked Recruiting Class is going to be good enough for 9th.

Oklahoma. Aggie is a joke, they never win anything worth celebrating to us.

Damn. I must have missed signing day.
I guess that we will have to hit the portal harder this year since we only signed 18 kids, and one is a punter. WTF is Sark doing?

I grew up a Longhorn fan, (Dad went there). Arkansas was always the big game in our house in the 50s and 60s.

Also, recruiting smack when there’s 2 months until signing day and your formerly “No. 1 class of all time” just finished 5-7? Where would App State’s recruiting classes finish in the SEC? How about Alabama's? I'm sure the Crimson Tide would utterly crush Texas if they played this season, right?
Oh wait...

Sorry. Another OU interloper here.
Lol funny post with a bit of Truth in there I have to admit.
One aspect of the Oklahoma game you left out though is the fact that so many of your players were from Texas and it just burned our arse if they went up there and then whipped our arse on the field. that has a lot to do with the reason there was so much vitriol

I actually love both. In-state rival is fun to talk trash to for the rest of the year. Out of state rival is fun also. I’m glad to be back to playing Arky on the regular. 3 rivals makes this jump to the SEC very meaningful.

It’s odd that you think t- shirt fans are a bad thing. I like seeing people rep my school all over the place.

ACTUALLY FLORIDA IS A HIGHLY RANKED SCHOOL

Well put.
A great comparison is Michigan. There’s a great in-state rivalry but not on the same scale as the out of state one.

Texas A&M is to Texas what Oklahoma State is to Oklahoma. We deal with them because we have to share the same state as them.

Sure dude!! Keep telling yourself that!!

OU, and it ain’t close.

Based on the way the UTa posters act on this board, it seems like A&M is their bigger rival. OU seems like a weak sex gimp that does whatever the longhorns tell them to do. Maybe that is the difference. The Aggies don’t seem to dick ride UTa like OU does. I don’t know. Just how it seems to me. But, look at all of the posts on here. UTa seems obsessed with A&M.

To most people, that is a 3 to 1 advantage. Are you sure you actually graduated? Maybe you should show us a copy of your diploma again.
Now do the last 50 years.
Last time xwing/el rancho/vinner saw this gif, he disappeared from this board for three months in shame.

Several of us have highlighted this OU/TX phenomenon on tRant. Never in the history of my 54 years have Texas and OU fans been anything resembling friendly towards each other whether online, in person, etc. My hypothesis: for the first time in history we have a common goal/experience, and we're both just happy (for now) to be here.

That comes from all the butthurt aggies who collectively soiled their pantalones when they learned we are coming and needed to characterize the situation in a way which allowed them to cope.

You have to be able to separate message boards stupidity with real life. Most of us have friends and family who went to both universities. I give Aggies a hard time but in reality I have nothing against them. But I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy ruining their Thanksgiving every year when we won.
My best friend is a sooner grad and I have an uncle who's an aggie. So losing either of those games can be a real headache for me

Every tu fan I know was rooting for OU in the cotton bowl in 2012. That should tell you something.

You could ask Florida fans and Georgia fans the same question.
