Texas and OU fans: do you want to join the SEC? Other fans: do you even want them to join.

I have always been a fan of TCU and UT since I was a kid. Personally I don’t want UT and OU to leave, but it will be cool to root for two teams in two different conferences again. It seems to me most UT fans are split on if they wanna join or not. I don’t know enough OU fans to know what they think.

I don’t want them. I’m still pushing for A&M, Missouri, South Carolina and Arkansas to get the frick out.

I don't really care. The novelty of some big major programs getting regular SEC games will probably be cool for a while - it'll spice up the regular season matchups.

I wish the SEC would say no thanks to UT and OU, and to show that there are no hard feelings give them back A&M and Missouri.
I don't have a problem with USC or Arkansas.

I don't want them. I didn't like the A&M and Missouri additions also.

I also think A&M and Missouri should have stayed in the big12.

It is just inevitable in today's environment. You can grow and prosper or shrink and die. One or the other. College football has now been ruined w/ NIL, conference expansion, playoffs, coaching salaries, etc. Glad i was around for the last great ear of college football that died in 1998.

It's a Big 10 and SEC arms race
They have to in order to keep up
I hate it personally but it's all about the revenue and the Big 10 and the SEC are about to leave everyone behind including Notre Dame

I'd rather have the SWC and Big 8 in their 1980s configurations.

If we had stayed in the Big 12, you guys would still be G5. You guys should be kissing our asses, tho we recommend Houston for our spot. They obviously didn’t get it.

I don’t want Texas or OU and they can have A&M and Mizzou back too. Not because I hate those programs and don’t think they deserve it, but I thinks it’s better if they just have their own conference in the midwest. Why anyone wants super conferences makes me scratch my head.

I love it, as I grew up an SEC fan before moving to Austin and going to school at UT. Big12 football is not on the same level.

Me too, but I don’t think that is really an option unfortunately

I am about the same. I’d say I am positive rather than neutral about keeping Arkansas and USC in the SEC. it wouldn’t hurt me to lose A&M or Mizzou. I definitely don’t want Texas or Oklahoma

Yes, but I will miss getting to play the amount of Power 5 teams from Texas we normally got to play.
In the coming era of "super conferences", it was kind of a no-brainer move for all parties involved.

We were already the best conference in America across multiple sports when we were at twelve schools.
