aTm isn't elite enough for Mullen to leave State.

lol would be a downgrade. Mullen has accomplished more at State than Texas A&M has in their time since expansion.

You lie to yourself because the truth hurts too badly.

What truth? That we've accomplished more as a team than A&M has...?

One doesn't want to make downward moves their career.

That A&M is in any way a downgrade from MSU.

We all know he has actively trying to leave Mississippi. If A&M makes him a reasonable offer, he's gone and there is nothing State could do about it.

: LSU kige :

Seriously, for all the crap about Starkville, the people are nice and fun to be around. UK just lost their baseball coach and their play by play guy to StarkVegas and both said Starkville folks were a part of the move.

What pedigree does aTm have that is so alluring to leave? It's not like it's Texas calling. We can match any offer made to him, they aren't going to offer him more than 5.5-6 per year if he is lucky.

After Charlene sends a few more letters you will be hiring Sylvester Croom.

Mullen aint leaving one cow college out in the sticks for another cow college out in the sticks and completing another rebuilding project for simular money, and A&M aint paying him Saban money and Sumlin at the same time.

Nothing but Money - A&M is going to find out just how average the job is this offseason. There are even thoughts of offering HUGE money to Fisher and such.

As if. We will hire from the upcoming list as EVERY program has for the last few years.

Sumlin already makes over 5 M and we pay out coordinators & assistants as much as anyone. MSU is going to have to bump up their total pay to the coaching staff by several million to match we could be offered.

Do you want me to start listing them? Recruiting Texas vs Mississippi? Playing in front of 100k vs 60k? Unlimited resources (he plays around in a helicopter to HS football games)? Facilities - from the stadium to locker rooms, to coaching offices, to treatment facilities, to training complex, and on and on and on. While we're not Bama, who has more history and prestige?

The only thing I can think of that State has over A&M at this point is familiarity with the program.
