Any reason to why the Aggies aren't getting more hype?
Offense: Sumlin has never had an issue putting up points (except last year Bama haha). Kyle Allen returns after half a year of starting, Seals Jones, Jefferson, Noil are all back and can all make plays over the top or in space.
Defense: Chavis has been one of the most consistent DC in the country. Long tenure at Tennessee while they were in the best era as a program. Continued success at LSU after Pelini bolted for Nebraska and co-coordinators failed. Tons of talent on the defensive line, and returning starters in the secondary.
I think they will drop two games to Western Conference foes and they get a favorable draw with South Carolina and Vanderbilt. Just not sure why Arkansas and Tennessee are getting more hype than the Aggies.

Appearently they haven't given anyone a reason to hype them since Manziel left.But they will always have that though.

You can't ask serious questions like that on this board and expect anything but a bunch of down votes and subsequent yapping.
I don't have the answer to your question, apart from the speculation that hype is largely media-driven, and we don't have any sexy story lines this year onto which the media can glom.
I guarantee you the team isn't giving it a second (or first) thought.

If people say LSU can't have good QB play because of the past then A&M can't have a good defense. Their OL sucks as well and they play in the SEC West. They deserve as much hype as Arkansas. A&M is finishing 5th in the West ahead of only Arkansas and Miss St.

Why when someone asks about A&M the Aggie fans come in and muck it up by saying no one will take it seriously? How about you back off instead of sabotaging a legitimate thread.

First time since Sumlin arrived there are no freshman starters on defense and no walk ons in the 2 deep.
