The biggest and richest college football stadium renovation...ever. Of course we spent a few mil taking care of the bats

Kyle Field after the renovation is one of the top stadiums in the country, and anyone who says otherwise is full of shite.

It's a beautiful, feel-good story

But there were reasons to get rid of the animals. Fans in the fall had to endure the pungent smell of guano during football games. The bat poop stained the walls and covered the ground. And there were health concerns, considering food is prepared and served in the stadium.

All tSECranting aside, I hate that the bats have been displaced.
They're indigenous Texas creatures that serve an invaluable purpose.
A similar unfortunate story can be told about the decline of the Texas horny toads, resultant of the massive attempts at eradicating their primary food source, the fire ant.
Hopefully the combined efforts of our veterinary, entomological, and engineering experts will continue to study the issue(s).
I don't want to see the bats go anywhere.

A&M handled the bat situation poorly. Very short sighted by us.

Is the ever present shite smell from the state of Arkansas caused by the people, the hogs, or the chicken farms (which I assume are the number one employer in that god awful place)?

Agreed. Those nets we put up probably killed thousands. We should have given them a better option.

Arkansas fans used the "nicest facilities" line in lieu of actual accomplishments for years and years as well. Glad to see you're following in your big bro's footsteps
