OSU has plenty of money, don't be silly.

Based on? He won the Fiesta bowl and went 12-2 a few years ago. Went 10-4 2 years ago.

You are just throwing around buzz words.

As badly as they are doing this year, I thought this might happen. How recent is this? Has he done the "I'm 60 - I'm a man" rant yet? We need a coaches changes board in the worst way. I can't keep up.

You should educate yourself. According to multiple sources (Google) the TOTAL NIL team figure has between 2-2.7 million. That’s about what a single second string Lamborghini car washer makes at Texas. You call that “plenty” of money? Giving Boone Pickens and family it’s due, they spent their donations on infrastructure and academics instead of blowing it on a future fry cook.

They do not have the Boone Pickens wallet they once did, that was all spent on improvements etc. They do not have the $$ to compete with the SEC, Baylor, Tech, CU, TCU etc. They made their hay developing overlooked talent. Current FB doesnt allow for that. He was bullheaded with NIL etc. 2 years ago might as well be 100 years ago with how much the game has changed.
Buzz off.

This is a bit harsh....

But Mike Gundy is kind of an offbeat quirky guy who has a tendency to rub people the wrong way in personal interactions. He is aloof in sort of a goofy kind of way.

He grew up here and everybody was kind of used to it and tolerated it because he was a local kid who made good.

I'm honestly not sure how this would go over somewhere else.

I'd hire him in a heartbeat as OC.

Yes, it does. Gundy just wouldn’t do it.

There’s a guy on an OKST message board claiming that Gundy is already working a deal with AU and that Cale will come too as OC.

I would love to see that mullet at UF. He already looks like a Florida man.

Gundy was the best coach they ever had.

No. He’s just the best one that didn’t use it as a stepping stone (and he almost left several times).

Jimmy Johnson left OKST for Miami, and Les Miles left for LSU.

Pat Jones was doing well until OKST got hit with massive sanctions from Jimmy Johnson era stuff.

I don’t know what the sources are for those numbers, but OKST itself indicates it spent much more this season, but it is the first time it has done so.
