Drink has done an incredible job getting talent to Mizzou. His first year Mizzou was 50th in the composite. Last year cracked the top 25. This is a big year in continuing the success.

Didn’t something like 37-38 players leave as well as most of the Bama coaching staff?

Cracking the top 25 ain’t gonna do it in the SEC.

Damn, have Bama fans always been this annoying or is it just now that they are lashing out because Saban's gone?

Bama fans have said repeatedly that 9 wins is acceptable in his first year but I see 10-2 with a playoff appearance imo.
I do agree with your assessment. But it also flies in the face of those that say he gets the most out of his players.
Things I have noticed:
1. Deboer recruits better than many on here thought he would.
2. Some, including some Alabama fans, thought Saban would be guiding the program for a bit allowing Deboer time to get acclimated. It seems, though, that it is Deboers program to win or lose on his decisions.

Winning the natty 100% depends on if Milroe has progressed enough in the offseason and over the course of the season.

....and Bama was ranked above Texas last year. What did that do for Bama? They got humiliated at home by double digits in a loss to Texas that was so devestating that their coach was psychologically destroyed and had to abandon football.

Which makes you top 10 nationally and that is good enough for winning an NC. Auburn, FL, TN, LSU have all done it with no better talent.

where? The only time I ever see statements like this it's bama fans referencing nothing in particular.
Progression of events:
1. Saban retires.
2. Bama loses some players to the "portal".
3. Every single poster on the SEC Rant erupts in joyous celebration at the death of Bama and the ruination of the "dynasty" in months long celebrations and idiotic doomsday predictions. Most of them had little bitty erections while furiously tapping out missive after missive about how DeBoar was DeDeath Knell.
4. All of this proves to be completely false and nothing but hopeful daydreams of beaten wives looking for a way out of their misery that never seems to end.
5. Alabama fans remind all the over-joyous celebrants that they are retarded and nothing they had hoped, dreamed, and prayed for had actually come to fruition and is curious about how they feel about how they acted.
6. All fans of all other teams deny that anything like this ever happened, they have no idea what Bama fans are referencing, and they always knew that Bama was still going to have the most talented roster in college football, duh!
7. Alabama fans laugh, knowing that everything is just as it ever was and another dynasty begins in just a few days.

I'm pretty sure they use the 24/7 Sports composite score assigned to that recruit his senior year of high school. They do not use the Transfer Portal rating.

Or, hear me out, Saban was about 90 years old, looked emotionally and physically drained the last few years and talked often about how simple things that used to be so easy now seemed hard to him.
After beating the #1 team in the nation, to win his 10th SEC Championship while at Alabama, he decided to retire gracefully as a winner and nothing but a winner with the title of Best College Football Coach in The History of Mankind.
That's another take.

No team has ever had the dominance that Bama has had the last 15 years. No Bama fan thinks it will continue to the same degree. The issue is all the people pointing this out like it is some big gotcha and they are saying something everyone doesn’t already know.

UT hasn’t even won the conference in 26 years.
Auburn won an NC with one of the greatest physical freaks to ever play QB in college football.
LSU and Florida had talent everywhere.
You went from being one of the top 2 to the next tier down. You aren’t winning the SEC with that level of talent. Depth gonna kill you.

Bama fans do expect for the same level of dominance to continue; that is what makes us unique and the team we support the best to ever play the game.
Bama fans almost ran Bear Freaking Bryant off because he had a few bad seasons. That is who we are and who we have always been and always will be.
If Saban had had a couple of terrible seasons and looked to be dropping off, we would had put pressure on him to shape up or ship out also.
Bama fans expect excellence and no coach is bigger than the Crimson Tide.
