Don't worry kingpin, you'll see Bama play in New Orleans in the Dome in 2012, because Bama is the real deal and Rammer Jammer and that other crap

Here's where you get your tickets to the New Orleans Superdome for the Sugar Bowl to be held on January 3, 2012.

LINK

Now here's what you and the rest of the Bama rammer jammer monkeys need to remember when you come to NOLA

1. Leave the Dome in a good clean condition.
2. Do not urinate on rampways or u'll get arrested
3. Do not screw with N.O. Police Dept (see item 2)
4. When you're drinking in the bars and ya see ya Daddy (he'll be wearing LSU gear) sitting nearby paying you no attention (cuz you're not on his radar), don't try to strike up lame conversation about how LSU was "lucky" to win ... cuz you have another loss coming is 2012 in Baton Rouge ... and we don't really wanna hear it. But if an LSU guy talks to you, it's because he wants to tell you to win one for the SEC ... then maybe you should give him ... some of "it" ... it being the lame excuses for your loss on Nov 5

Or instead, is it Bama, fueled by the inspiration of overcoming the events of April 27th, who is destined to restore order to chaos and reclaim their rightful place atop the college football world by earning their third crystal football and winning their fourteenth national title?

And then kingpin, you woke up with "dogwater" all over your mom's Wal-Mart quality cotton sheets

... It was the morning of January 10, 2012 and you realized that it had all been a dream ...

You had watched LSU beat the hell out of Oklahoma or Oklahoma State or whoever the night before

Most Bama fans do not claim 1941. I hate that claim because it really is bullshite. We are not the 1941 National Champs

Agreed

The "team of Destiny" has been road grated 8 of 11 times* by LSU this century.

Oh good, then you'll concede the...
1925 title to 8-0 Dartmouth
1926 title to 9-0 Lafayette
1930 title to 10-0 Notre Dame
1934 title to 8-0 Minnesota
1964 title to 11-0 Arkansas
1973 title to 11-0 Notre Dame

...not to mention all of the one-loss Alabama teams.

Well, that pretty much brings Alabama down to what, 4 titles?

Way to go, gump.

Third? Alabama has only one BCS title. Did you get a crystal football for the pre-BCS title in 1992?

Yes, it would have been a beatdown. USC was lucky to avoid it, which gave them an unjustified, if empty, share of the NC.

IN 07 dodged UGA due to ridiculous tie breakers

Head to head is a ridiculous tiebreaker? Tennessee smacked Georgia 35-14, proving it was obviously the better team and rightful SEC East champion. In the NC game, Ohio State was the consensus #1 team (AP, Coaches, BCS), so we obviously played the team that everyone agreed was best.

BCS is no more legit than any other previous system

Possibly the most ridiculous comment in a post absolutely brimming over with them. You think it's more legit to have #1, #2 and #3 all playing in separate bowls and just leave it up to idiotic poll voters to decide who's better? That system gave us the 1984 national champion Brigham Young Cougars.

Yea, they did. This has been covered hundreds of times.

The "Crystal Football" Trophy was originally given as the AFCA or Coaches Trophy from 1986 to 1997. In 1998 it became the BCS Championship Trophy, but remained a Crystal Football.

Both LSU and Alabama have 2.

There are 3 teams with 3 of them Nebraska (1994, 1995, 1997) Miami (1987, 1989, 2001) and Florida (1996, 2006, 2008). No team has 4.......yet.

A lot of people don't seem to understand that the BCS system is only a formula for the USA Today Poll, formerly the UPI poll, commonly known as the "Coaches Poll" to award their champion.

It's still just an opinion poll, and many consider it to be less prestigious than the AP Poll due to the criticism that the coaches rarely even fill out their own ballots due to time constraints and the fact that they are usually to involved with their own team and opponents to objectively rank teams nationally.

First the UPI published the poll, then in 1991 USAToday and CNN co-sponsored publishing the poll. In 1997 ESPN replaced CNN as a co-sponser, but then retracted their sponsorship after 2005 leaving USAToday as the sole sponsor.

But make no mistake, this is the same 'championship' that has been awarded by the Coaches Board since the 1950 season.

It is no more or less relevent than the AP poll, since both are opinion polls.

I do agree that the pairing of #1 and #2 in a bowl game lends a bit more excitement, but when you consider that it's just the #1 and #2 of the USAToday/Harris/various computer systems, and that the AP poll is not a copmponent, it's a bit self-promoting.

I am perfectly fine with sharing the title with USC in 2003 as many MNCs have been shared in the past. And as a matter of fact the very controversy created by the dual polling systems is one of the things that I enjoy about college football.

Because Bama finished the season ranked #20 in the final AP poll in 1941. On the other hand, LSU finished the season as SEC champions and #1 in the AP poll in 2007.

Just for clarification, is the AP poll relevant, or not?

Nice try, but we were undefeated and untied in 1925, 1930, and 1934. Also in 1945 and 1966

I think Bama has only 1 crystal Ball. LSU and Florida are the only 2 time BCS champions. Soon LSU will be the only team with 3 Crystal Ball's.

Good God almight, how many times does this have to be explained. The God damn Coaches' Trophy has been awarded since 1986. It no more belongs to the BCS, than it did to the Bowl Coalition or Bowl Alliance.

Ok let's try this one more time:

The crystal football is the coaches trophy. It has been awarded since 1986. The winner of the BCS NCG is voted #1 in the coaches poll. Alabama won it in 1992 and again in 2009. Florida, Nebraska, and Miami all have THREE crystal footballs

So were those other teams.

BhamDore merely said, "A perfect season cannot be disputed."

I listed other teams' perfect seasons, why do you want to disagree with BhamDore?
