Those were undefeated, untied, bowl championship teams. There was a time when there was not 30 + bowls. There was a time when the Rose Bowl was the only bowl, which invited the two best teams. Bama has 3 of those and one tie.

First and foremost , bama doesn't have 14 nation titles. You can't add titles form the 1920's in 1985 and call them legit. Y don't y'all just claim the 8 real ones. An undefeated season with a rose bowl win is just that a rose bowl win. Not a national title. Damn.

You have won ONE BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. I don't know why you try and insist on trying to make people think you have won 2. No one is saying that Bama has 2 BCS championships. It is common knowledge that there are only two teams with two BCS National Championships (LSU and UF). But to try and say that Bama only has one Crystal Football is just flat out stupid. The Crystal Football (as we have said MAAAAANY TIMES) was given out before the BCS.

Some of the poll titles are ridiculous. The title awarded when Bama lost to USC who ended up the with the same record. Or when the championship was awared before the bowls and Bama lost to Arky.

Hey, how did those predictions about lsu being 7-5 last year go for you? How did those predictions about lsu never beating a saban coached bama team again, or a meyer coached florida team again?
I tell you hoss, you were dead on in all of those predictions. You berated every sunshine pumper in the world telling them how stupid they were, and that lsu was locked in mediocrity as long as miles was at lsu....

We have 4 undefeated and untied Rose Bowl teams actually. 1925, 1930, 1934, and 1945.

It truly depends what the landscape of college football is that year. I will repeat, the transitive property DOES NOT apply across different football seasons because teams change; they are dynamic.
In 07 there was much more parity than in 04. Not diminishing what AU did because it is certainly worthy of praise, but that year there were other teams that had equal or better resumes. In 2007, after that free for all season, LSU was the best.

You're confusing "perfect" and "best." Just because you're perfect, doesn't make you the best. Furthermore, no one ever wrote to be the best you have to be perfect or it doesn't count.
