Uh huh. Any honest LSU fan would admit that they would rather play OU, OSU, or Oregon before playing Alabama again.

Congratulations on knowing what other people think.

I'm an honest LSU fan and I'm more worried about a team that we haven't played yet (mainly OSU) than a team we beat in their stadium.

Personally, I think LSU would be favored vs Bama in New Orleans, and think LSU wins that one.

I agree with this as well.

I don't know what all of you LSU and Bama fans are babbling about, but if Oklahoma is given a chance to play in the national championship after losing to freaking Texas Tech and home then the BCS is beyond flawed.

all the polls are flawed

USC was the opinion poll leader in 2003 even tho they lost to the worst team (an unranked 8-6 Cal who were just not very good)

typically people don't know what to do with a weird loss... so they just kinda blow it up and consider it a fluke (well, unless they like another team then it becomes a big talking point)

Oklahoma would have a better record, and would be a conference champion, and would have played while Alabama was idle on championship weekend.
No B12 CG this year.

But I still agree OU gets in if they win out.

I'm with you but it's going to become a pretty interesting situation if Tech loses out (they probably will).

LSUMatt has proven correct consistently on these matters for years now, whether it was favorable to LSU or devastating to LSU.
The computers LOVE LSU (because of wins over bama and Oregon) in a way that is specifically unique to LSU.
LSU will win out (14-0) b/c this year BELONGS to LSU.
So this thread is moot, imho.
But, I must admit I enjoy the respect our victories over the "almost" teams (Oregon/Bama) have earned us.
Sorry Gumps & Piggies.
You always have 2012 to look toward.

You're an idiot. He was speaking about Alabama or oregon playing LSU again.

There is no chance of Texas tech playing Oklahoma again for the national championship.

You missed the whole point there internet tough guy.

OU is being rewarded for losing to shitty team. Bama is being punished for losing in overtime to current #1 team. Bama's at a disadvantage because the team thour loss happens to be the team most likely to be 1 of the teams in the NCG.

You bammers ROFLing at Lsumatt are very out of line. He is the most credible BCS analyst I know of from anywhere, including the dolt Brad Edwards and everybody else I have read in the net.

He understands the system, and has analyzed how it has worked every year, and has been SPOT ON over and over. His work in 2007 was phenomenal. He's no homer. "Guru" is an understatement.

it is plain by all the rematch threads that LSU fans want nothing to do with Bama again.
why would we want to beat the same team twice? You do realize that college football is a game of emotion and intangibles, and Alabama would have an enormous advantage there. I would take miles over saban and any other coach in a big game by a mile

BCSCG

Miles vs Saban. Advantage LSU

superdome. Advantage LSU

Intangibles. HUGE advantage Alabama

No I didnt. It's not a good point to make in regards to what you were replying to.

No. Oklahoma is going to be rewarded for beating the number 2 team and earning their way in, in spite of losing to a shitty team. Bama has already had their opportunity to earn their way into the national championship, but they lost to LSU.
Should bama get another opportunity to beat LSU instead of Oklahoma who would have beaten the number 2 team and not have had a shot at LSU yet?

Bama was sky high in the so called "game of the century" & so were their fans! For LSU go into that environment & still come out with a win showed plainly LSU was the best team that night. The game was even in regulation, but in overtime LSU dominated. Bama couldn't even score from their own 25! They were beaten.
Now if we do play Alabama again in New Orleans, the Tide won't have the home field, giving Les & LSU a month to prepare for the rematch, a LSU win will be much more convincing! Before you laugh at The Hat, check his post game resume'!
That being said I don't care who LSU plays for the ship, LSU will dominate!

There is zero chance an 11-1 or even 12-1 Oregon has a higher computer ranking than an 11-1 Arkansas.

if you add each team's remaining games in the poll on colley's website, Oregon has a higher ranking than Arkansas

only just slightly and the difference is marginal, but it's still higher.

Oklahoma lost to Texas Tech. That's like screwing your sister. There are simply no excuses for it.

Alabama should absolutely get another shot before Oklahoma. You are comparing a team that lost to the #1 team in the nation vs a team that lost to one of the worst teams in the Big 12 at home.

This is a stupid argument. It has nothing to do with "you already had your chance". It doesn't work that way. The aim of the BCS is and has always been to match the #1 and #2 ranked team for the national title. If Okie State and LSU win out then they will be those 2 teams. If Okie State loses, then your ridiculous "you already had a chance" argument doesn't have any validity as a reason to deny Alabama or Oregon the #2 spot. If either of those 2 teams is deemed better than Oklahoma then they will play LSU for the title.

Not exactly. What about the whole body of work? The whole deal with why people are in favor of a bowl game is because the whole season matters, in which case Alabama failed at their own house after a bye.

Even if there was a playoff, if you don't win you're division, you are eliminated. Even if you get a wildcard, you would still have to play a higher seed, without a bye and possibly away from home.

Under you're stupid scenario, not only did we beat you, but we have to play in the seccg, without a bye, in Georgia while bama stays home? And, If we get by that you get another shot?

Not. Gonna. Happen.

Not the way it is currently set up. The season is the playoff..and Bama had their chance.

Ehhh that's Arkansas's worst computer poll. Absolutely no way arkansas would have a worse computer score. And I disagree that our computer score would be "much worse than bama's". I think they'd be about the same.

I think so too. Even though the Bama body of work is better, the computers will love OU and enough of the voters will say we've already seen Bama v LSU lets check out OU.

dude. Arkys strength of schedule sucks arse. Even if you beat lsu, our SOS will be much higher.

That's what happens when you beat possibly 2 bcs Conference champions out of conference during the regular season and the only team to beat you

Schedule harder games and stop bitching

lol im not bitching. I give arkansas a 20 percent chance tops of beating lsu. Just saying this guy isn't much of an expert if he really thinks a one loss oregon would have a higher computer ranking than arkansas. Oregon's shedule is dog shite.
