With this guy granted immediate eligibility, how can the NCAA ever not grant immediate eligibility to anyone wanting to transfer. I am not sure this is good for the game. His case and Fields' case were essentially the same, both thought they stood a better chance to play if they went elsewhere.

If the NCAA didn't grant him eligibility they would have lost in court.Not much they can do about it when a player is lawyered up.

This is the Tom Mars effect. Now all you have to do is threaten to lawyer up and the NCAA folds. which is good in my opinion. No need to block transfers.
