I honestly believe JFF won't have the success he had last year. He was an unknown going into last season, this year everyone knows who he is and his capabilities. Thus they will be better prepared.

Even if you knew that JFF was incredible before the season last year, you can't do shite about his play extending ability that he showed last year. The same will go for this year too, if he is able to extend plays like he did last year you just can't do shite against it.

This is correct. Tell me how tape is gonna help defend against him scrambling like a madman.

False. Take $Cam Knewton for instance. By the end of the year teams were learning to hem him up. Against Bama and Oregon he rushed 44 times for only 103 yards.

Hmmm you really used the worst analogy possible to support your claim. Keep trying.

Have you counted how many quarters Johnny sat out at the end of games last year? I want to say it totaled 3.1 games worth of play.

How many points do you think we would have had with those as well?

Most teams pull their starting QB when they're up big. Irrelevant.

If the SEC has adjusted to A&M, just imagine how bad it's gonna be for Mizzou, they sucked last year and now it's only gonna get worse.

if they think they're going to do Offensively this year what they did last year. SEC Defenses adjusted during the off season.

You adjusted to account for the chaotic, unpredictable play of Johnny Manziel?

How cute.

Better prepared for what?

His improvisation?

Just can't understand how people overlook that JFF is at his best when the planned play--the one you prepare for--doesn't work out.

No amount of "planning" can prepare a team to defend this:

No you don't understand. They can watch film AND they have the game "circled on their calendar." We are doomed to never win in the SEC

Yup.

Bama wrote the book on shutting down Cam Newton. Especially in the 2nd half.

That's the truth, Ruth.

Ah, how naive of me.

For a moment I thought an essential element of randomness is unpredictability.

How foolish.

I'm going to go study the powerball's last 10 winning tickets so the lotto can't evade me again.

I should just ignore this thread -- but what the hell...

With the RB corps we have lining up this year, defenses are quite possibly going to be even more lost than last year. And other than Saban/Smart, there probably isn't a HC/DC combo in the SEC that could hold a candle to Bob/Mike Stoops. Ask them how a month's worth of planning (with a full year's worth of film) worked out...

Go back to hoping JFF gets suspended. It sounds much less desperate.

While I agree that stopping Manziel is still going to be difficult. Using a pair of coaches who allowed Notre Dame to score 30 points should not be the best you could come up with.

Oklahomo's Defense sucked. 2 of their last 3 games they gave up 49 to WVU and 48 to Okie St.

If this is true this year, TAMU is totally and fully F***ED If you can't prepare for Johnny.... then you'd best prepare for the 10 other people on the field.
