Tulane adds nothing to the conference.

If we're going for 18, we should prioritize Duke and UNC imo. At this point, we can afford a couple more basketball-first schools.

If not them, I don't think any other schools are worth it. VA Tech/Virginia/WV would at least add new TV markets I guess.

Clemson, Florida State, Louisville, or GA Tech would be desperation plays imo. No real benefit there for the rest of us.

We should just annex the SWAC and become the most progressive conference that is immune from all criticism.

Just let the Big Ten die on this reactionary hill- there is no way in hell this is sustainable

Who knows? But I personally don't want the SEC in a situation where we wished we HAD done something instead of hoping it hurts the B1G.

Big 10 is clearly trying to be the nationwide conference.

I love that the PAC tried this in basketball and ended up getting beat a bunch by SWAC schools.

Financially, the only way this works is if you have football-only conferences.

Oregon and Washington may get there someday but not likely soon and only if they accept a lower annual payout compared to the rest of the conference.

I think both the Big 10 and SEC are waiting to see if FSU/Clemson break open the ACC first

If the SEC adds more schools it should be tv markets that there are currently no SEC teams. North Carolina and Virginia should be the states we add the schools from BUT they should align with SEC fan bases that's why we should offer NC State and Virginia Tech.

The Sorbonne would add to our academics and bring an international site.

Trinity College in Dublin would be a nice partner as well.

I think these teams would add value to BIG in football, but for all other sports, I feel bad for these players. I realize they’d have some sort of West Coast wing and group the 4 (or even 6) schools together, but after that, the next closest school is Nebraska, which is a BIG school in name only. You’d have to play these other schools for some purpose. Imagine going to a volleyball or track tournament with a 3-4 hour flight.
