Knoxville / East TN is awesome as is the gameday atmosphere. You will be safe there. As long as you don't go around starting shite, you will be treated well as a visiting fan.

Tennessee fans are very passionate and in my opnion, are the biggest homers in the entire SEC. Their bark is worse than their bite, and I have always had a good time and been treated well in Knoxville. They are good folks. Neyland can get rocking and is as good an experience as anywhere. You will be glad you went, regardless of the outcome of the game.

We really don’t care about the “UT” stuff. We’re Texas. We have 9 other UTs in our system, such as UTSA. Houston alone has a larger population than the State of Tennessee.

It's a good spot. The experience will be eye opening because it's a real college town and not a stadium dumped just north of downtown.

It’s a unique atmosphere. Great tailgating at Calhouns w the Navy.
Stadium and atmosphere is pretty amazing. Like everyone says, fans are cool if you’re cool.
Stole a win there last year and leaving there, honestly felt bad for them. Not that bad though.

30 years? 2008-2021 isn’t 30 years slick. A couple of really bad coaching hires set us back but Huepel has the ship righted.

I think you'll be shocked at how kind and welcoming people can be. Our fanbase is extremely hospitable even to rivals as long as you're not an arse looking to fight.
You should absolutely NOT be scared to travel here.
Also we have some fans that are pretty shite online. However, usually great in person
Where Tennessee fans get obnoxious and toxic is when we feel like we've been treated unfairly then the worst will come out. E.g. refs and reporters -- we don't forget slights.
IRL/visiting though just strike up a convo with someone who isn't drunk off their arse and you will very likely have made several new friends by the end of the day.

We don’t really have any beef with Texas. We fuken hate Bama and Florida, but we’re still nice to their fans, for the most part. You’ll have a good time.

No Tennessee Fans are just Loud and passionate about our Team. I wish the game was at 3:30 or 7:30 though. The night atmosphere is crazy loud. I live in Georgia. I went to the game when they beat Alabama a few years back and it was deafening.

Man, I hate Tennessee because, first of all, it's Tennessee. I just hate 'em because they low down, they dirty, they some snitches. And I hate Phillip Fulmer, I hate their colors. I'm not a dog person. I just hate Tennessee, man.I hate Neyland Stadium, it looks like a garbage truck worker convention. And I don't like--I just hate Tennessee man, I can't stress that enough. It's just--ugh! And their colors... it's that throw-up orange. It's not that orange that you can sit with. It's that puke inside of a pumpkin orange. Tejas fan will be fine in Knoxville. Just a select few fanbases get what they give though.
