It remains to be seen how Tua does when teams have been preparing for him instead of Hurts.

Wait... didn't Kirby say he had GA prepared?

Yes, but how do you prepare for playing one way and getting all the momentum and then do a 180 and losing momentum? Their entire defense had to change.

And it's not going to be very easy to prepare for Tua's super quick release. Maybe they find a tell, good DCs probably will, but if Tua goes thru his progressions right he will be hard to stop.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he won't do well. He may light it up for all I know but sometimes a QB does not do as well as a starter as they did in a backup role. Time will tell

Tua will be the starter but Heisman campaign a little premature. I remember Colt going down against us in the NC and we had not prepared for their backup Gilbert who did well against us and gained all sort of hype but the next season went 5-7 and later ended up at SMU. UGA was not prepared for Tua and really no way to be since the only film on him was mainly with the backups in mop up duty. Just saying

Tag is a great young man. Humble in victory, paying homage to his team mates and exudes Christian values, BUT.. as far as the article, no. Just no.

I heard that Bama boosters were already sending out checks to Heisman voters. all part of the [conspiracy] process.

Yes because Kirby will never make an excuse. But if in a weeks time no team is going to spent that much time on the backup. Give Nick credit for making the change and Tua for playing well, as well as the defense allowing him to play well enough to comeback. The int he threw to Baker turns in a 27-7 lead instead of an int on the next play the narrative changes.

If you think that Jalen Hurts has less than a 1 in 7 chance to be the 2018 starter you are nuts.

Did you see Saban's reaction after the idiot sack Tua took to almost blow the natty? Saban was pulling his hair out. Hurts is the safe choice by far.

Hurts is done with any meaningful playing time at Bama barring an injury. Same goes for Fromm in the Fall right? If Fields is a phenom like Tua he should be able to win that job at some point during the season.

Didn't Tua throw into triple coverage three times ? I think 8 of his 14 completions were screens or slants. That last pass is what everyone remembers.

Reminds me of another QB that got hyped all offseason with little playing time to back it.

I hate you, but I gave you an upvote.

Look, I get it. You don't want him to be good, and you saw him throw a couple poor passes after being inserted into the 2nd half of the national championship. Other than it winning the NC, I don't give a shite about that last throw. It's been obvious how good Tua is and will be for a long time now.
