Another day, another multi-page thread about "irrelevant" Texas.

I'll be honest, I have enjoyed Austin and Morgantown.

As someone who lives in Virginia, I wholeheartedly agree.

Also you might get a random snow game with a Morgantown home game (it'd be rare but actually feasible).

Only issue is that a lot of teams use white for their away jerseys, though I would think that (so long as the colors don't come close to WVU's) they could get permission to wear home jerseys in the forecast called for snow.

The SEC being scared of Texas is something I didn’t see coming.

True. I'll bet them Horns don't even have a monorail on campus.

Kinda surprising isn't it? To be fair though, they've had nearly a decade's worth of aggy pissing retarded tall tales into their ears.

False. The Mike Slive SEC sent a delegation to Morgantown, for an LSU / WVU game, some time ago. Lets dig into this.

WVU, on the surface, checks a lot of boxes. Land grant school. Respectable football. No in-state pro football. Geographically connects, thus makes travel reasonable.

Now here's where WVU does not make sense. Its the fan base that threw batteries at a visiting women's basketball team not all that long ago. They are not a pleasant experience for any visiting team on game weekend - you can do a two minute Google and discover all the glowing reviews of cars keyed, tires slashed, and on and on regarding a trip to Morgantown with out of state plates of the visiting team.

Morgantown is about as far inland as you can get, yet still get that Upper Mid Atlantic hostile vibe. Austin is an awful SEC for an entirely different set of reasons. Morgantown is no better.

True. I've lived in Texas for 20 years. Longhorns suck azz. Students and alumni are made up of either spoiled entitled brats, retarded liberals, butch lesbians licking dildos in the street, or gay dudes who'd like you to give them a pounding.

You're hanging out in the wrong bars...

Better cultural fit? Unequivocally, yes. Texas brings a shite ton more money to the table though.

Went in 2011 when LSU played them. Getting to the stadium is a gauntlet of mouth breathing inbreed hillbillies. WV fans make TN fans look like refined choir boys.

Sounds like WVU-Tennessee would be a natural rivalry
