Gamecocks win 9-0 and take the series. Our Friday Ace with the most returning experience - Adam Hill - had the lead into the 4th but imploded. Since then we out-scored VMI 16-2, and it shouldn't have been any closer than that. Once we get Hill to settle down and settle in, we should get rolling here....

I really like what I see from the new comers at Auburn. Butch Thompson is living up to his rep as a great recruiter and it looks like he brought in a few guys on a different level than what AU usually has. Tanner Burns will get the hype and he should, but I think the star of the class and soon to be the star of AU baseball is Eduord Julien. Canadian that was under the radar with scouts until very late in the process until word got out about him and he blew up. Fortunately he said no to a lot of money and is at AU. Will be full time leadoff batter by the time SEC play rolls around.
