The farther back you choose to go the messier it is, after you get past the 50's and 60's it became pretty well established that the AP and Coaches were the defacto "official" ones.

All I am saying is that Bama is recognized in '41, while losing head to head and the conference to an undefeated Mississippi State team. Anything decided by "polls" is complete horse shite.

Ole Miss - LSU from 1958-72 was like Alabama-Auburn and Ohio State-Michigan.
