He wasn’t even the backup guy until JTD got hurt.

Lol. Dont change. You resemble the tennessee program too much.
So what you are saying is that teams worked to take the run game away and force stetson to beat them.
And he did. 13 teams by 15+ points (including both playoff games).
And he did with chewing tobacco and his helmet off in the 4th quarter?
Is that the point you want to hang your hat on?
Teams forced him to win the games and he obliterated them (twice if we are referencing the vols for 40+ points).
Taller than the heisman winner.
For the nfl... yes. He is still pushing the ball 55 yards in the air on these bombs against man coverage (7 yard drop and throwing to the numbers/sideline).
Aaaand. I stopped reading there. Lol

When teams sellout to stop the run and cover short receivers have all day to adjust to a ball. Bennett was rarely hits folks in stride, it was throw towards the middle with everything he had and hope the receiver could find it.

Yes he was the QB of the national champions but they won on Defensive depth and catching breaks with the schedule (1st year and last year coaches) and Bama injuries in the national title game.

you think he’s in the same tier as a Mac Jones or even Kyle Trask?
1st half Passer rating:
Trask 20 - 179
Bennett 21 - 182
Whoa, but he is only barely taller than the heisman? Impossible

I could have won a natty at QB with that roster

You wouldn’t have lasted one hit.

still isn’t fast or a powerful runner
SEC QBs rushing yards per attempt (min 20 attempts) w/ sacks removed:
1) Anthony Richardson - 8.3 ypa
2) Stetson Bennett - 7.5 ypa
3) KJ Jefferson - 6.4 ypa
4) Emory Jones - 6.2 ypa
5) Hendon Hooker - 6.1 ypa
Please tell me more about how ineffective Bennett is with his slow, weak running style.

Nah, you would have throw the game just so UGA would lose

Even dumber to downplay his abilities after he ran all over the vols.

Personally I think even though he's not a top tier pro prospect, he's a great college QB. I just don't think he is in a vacuum the best QB in the SEC.

I also did not realize Hendon Hooker had that many yards or attempts rushing.

Literally any QB that had working knees shredded us on the ground.

Not even a slow, weak qb could destroy a shitty vols d with his legs

That's a fair assessment.
For the '22 season does it really matter if a guy has a future on Sundays if he still gets the job done at a very high level on Saturdays? He's a very effective college QB that has all the intangibles combined with just enough of the tangibles to win a lot of football games.

That fumble number is scary though. Gotta take care of the ball better than that.

He’s more mobile but I don’t know that he’s a better passer than McCarron. That guy threw some darts and he’s made an NFL roster.

it’s close but i give Stetson the edge because he’s got better yards per game, yards per attempt and better overall efficiency. McCarron was a little better at making decisions though.
Stetson’s also better with the deep ball. People don’t give him enough credit. He graded out as the best deep ball passer in the SEC last year and I believe he was Top 3 in 2020.

I like Hendon, to me he's a diet Josh Dobbs. But there is a lot about his game that he can clean up.

Stetson always gets the most out of... In this case, trolls.
