I didn’t say per game Average. And the roster is decent, Stetson Bennett just isn’t good. It’s not hard to comprehend lol

He’s no Aaron Murray, slightly above Jake Fromm at best, this isn’t our first year watching football dawgs, and we all had QB’s drafted who didn’t get respect, why is he so special?

I think this is the downside to having a guy like this win. You're now in a dance-with-who-brung-you situation.

Maybe UGA has as good a team around him as last year. Maybe he suddenly improves a bunch. But there's a good chance there will be a moment they really need someone special and they'll suddenly have to reconcile with what they actually have.

I doubt UGA with Corrall would have been much of an improvement over Bennett for UGA, if one at all. Bennett was just too good last year, which the stats PROVE.

You are now reducing yourself to silly hyperbole. Not one QB would win Heisman at UGA.

Here's an example of something that Stetson does really well that is also a perfect fit for what the Georgia offense needs from him. Bennett was one of the best deep ball throwers last year. Both his completion percentage of 53.7% and his average yards per attempt of 21.5 yards were second best of all Power Five QBs. Keep in mind that his top three targets last year were all FR too.

Bennett's proficiency at the deep pass is especially important for UGA to help make defenses pay for stacking the box against the run game.

Source from all Power Five QBs with 30 or more attempts where the ball traveled 20 or more yards in the air:

His deep passing abilities are why the opponent cant afford to stack the box. Its odd how no one acknowledges his deep passing abilities. I guess facts are frowned upon to the haters.

That moment already happened in the 4th quarter of the biggest game of the year. He passed the test with flying colors.

Richardson, on the other hand, failed spectacularly in his moment with the worst 2 mins a QB has ever played in the WLOCP.

This is a good example of a Strawman Argument. Literally no one in this thread is claiming Bennett is a generational QB in the vein of Tebow, Manziel, or Burrow.

How do their stats and clutch play compare? Not including Burrow as we know all about him.

You never did answer that.

It was good timing. He shite the bed in the seccg game. Maybe this year he does so at a worse time.

That's the point. He has a lot of cover from the relatively much better talent level around him. It's hard for him to screw it up, but there could come a moment when it all falls on him. That hasn't happened yet.

Exactly what kind of hypothetical moment are you speaking of?

"shite the bed" is a little strong for a 340 yard 3 TD performance.

Bennett actually performed better in the SEC Championship game than Bryce Young did in the National Championship game.

Bennett in the SEC Champ game:
48 att
29 comp
60.4%
340 yards
7.1 ypa
3 TD
2 INT

Young in the National Championship game:
58 att
35 comp
60.3%
369 yards
6.4 ypa
1 TD
2 INT

I’ll say it in a way you understand, if Jake Fromm was your QB last year, you guys probably go undefeated
