every advanced stat is made up dumbass. That’s why they’re called advanced. You need more than two brain cells to understand it.

But let’s hear it. What is your preferred QB stat?

Stet V played pretty good last year. Alot better than most on that list. I see keep talking about, if he didn't have that good OL, he would have done as good . When has bama had a bad OL or any of the top schools? Would've Bryce Young won the heisman without a good line?

By the way dawgholio, this wasn't meant for you; I'm to lazy to go back to the front and reply.

ESPN’s Total Quarterback Rating (Total QBR), which was released in 2011, has never claimed to be perfect, but unlike other measures of quarterback performance, it incorporates all of a quarterback’s contributions to winning, including how he impacts the game on passes, rushes, turnovers and penalties. Also, since QBR is built from the play level, it accounts for a team’s level of success or failure on every play to provide the proper context and then allocates credit to the quarterback and his teammate to produce a clearer measure of quarterback efficiency.

Advanced, made up bullshite, same difference

What people aren't thinking about is the running game will probablt about the same, which is good. The OL will good, and the WR & TE group should be awesome. It's setting up pretty nice for the mailman. I've got confidence in him.

Alabama's had several QBs who

really weren't
NFL material but were excellent decision makers(a.k.a. game managers), that won natties, SEC championships, and played in multiple playoffs.
The kid's a good QB, and can handle the pressure.

This guy is so far up on the idiot scale, he literally has nothing. Even unadvanced stats are too much for him.

You need to talk to your own fan base about that.

Stetson can be amazing. He started against UAB and completed his first 5 passes for 245 yards and 4 TDs. No other college QB has ever had a stat line like that. Our Dawgs have a really solid chance to win it all again this season.

“Bennett threw for 70% of his yardage total in the first half of games. An astute analysis would lead one to conclude that Stetson wasn't asked to throw the ball much in the second half of games due to already having a commanding lead. “

“Twice as many attempts in the first half of games.

Half as many attempts in the second half of games.”

“Almost, if not all, of throws in the 4th q of 2021 games came against bama.”

No. If he can make an NFL roster, then he'll get the respect he deserves. Otherwise, he'll be the modern day version of Buck Belue.

but then he threw 2 tds to win us the game.

I mean, it was a screen pass and a free play deep ball

Fair or not, if your defense gives up like 14 tds all year, you’re gonna be labeled a game manager

Well if you mean Heisman like respect, then he needs to put up Heisman numbers. But if you mean more like a champion's respect, then yeah, he isn't getting enough credit. He is plenty good enough to repeat, if his defense is once again on par, then he has a real shot. He also has something most qb's don't. playoff experience. I would say the odds are much better for him then they were last year.
