This dude and this school are an embarrassment. They didn’t even play a hard OOC schedule this year.
Their toughest OOC went 5-7 in a mediocre Big Ten. Even a joke of an OOC and they couldn’t get in this year.
Typical Bama and their victim mentality.

Everyone cheered when SC coach said same thing Friday. But Bama said it so now you’re melting about it.

Alabama didn’t even lose to a non conference team why is this a melt?
Alabamas SOS means they could be ranked high even with a few losses, the issue was who they lost to…really shitty teams

Actually...they did. Alabama finished #11 in the final CFP poll. Clemson, at #16, got the auto bid as ACC champion.

I'd have no problem playing 5 or 6 patsies every year.

Saban also had the fortune of catching Tennessee in the worst period in the history of their program.
As if you didn't catch Alabama during a historically bad era pre-Saban. And as if Saban was scared of the Vols

Go win something before you start talking. Alabama has won 6 championships since the Vols last.

One of the last time Saban played Tennessee got his arse beat. Your new boy, he got his arse beat this year.
NIL came along and Nick could no longer buy up all the players. What did he do, he packed up and ran.
Now he gets on ESPN and cries and sniffles like a bitch because Alabama isn't included in the playoffs.

Are yall actually this retarded or just pretending? If you’re in the SEC, you have zero reason to take on additional risk OOC moving forward.

Saban beat your team by double digits last time they played and Saban is 73 years old.

Bama has gotten soft by playing patsies like your LSU Tigers and Georgia .
They need to toughen up to be competitive vs teams like Vandy!

Y’all still don’t get the point. The reason Bama didn’t make it this year is because of bad losses. No one is arguing that.
Their OOC opponents this year are immaterial to future precedent. Strength of schedule is meaningless.
The future precedent is that only winning matters. Strength of schedule means nothing.
Being in the SEC is now an encumbrance to EVERY member’s chances while being in a weak conference is hugely advantageous.
In the future, all SEC members should schedule terrible OOC games to maximize their chances.
The teams that get the lucky draw in the SEC will also have a huge advantage in making the playoffs. Texas and UT were given favorable SEC schedules this year which is part - not all - of their success.

Statement from Alabama AD Greg Byrneby BamaBravesPackersHe’s right. Non-conference games died today. I’m really curious to hear from other SEC ADs.
You’re getting downvoted and I love it….but, I do agree with this. It’s sad to see so many shite teams in the cfb playoff. There are three other teams that deserve it in the SEC and one has a better case in my opinion being South Carolina.
Penn st played nobody and they are in which is a joke and smu has no business being there either

Getting spanked by the 13th “best” team in the conference will do that to you, bama.

What are you so upset about? It's not like you actually went to school at Alabama.
It's not like you're a season ticket holder or donor.
What happened? Walmart refused to give you a refund on that T-shirt and hat you bought?

He's talking about the SoS metric in general and that it's nothing but risk and no reward.
Alabama had been moving toward scheduling not just 1 power conference opponent per year, but 2.
Just last year Alabama scheduled Texas OOC in the regular season, and Texas was a playoff team.
These rankings prove it is foolish to do that because there will be no benefit if you win, but will hurt you if you lose.
