Stanford played Notre Dame and SJSU every year for the past 10 or so years.
Last year Stanford vs Notre Dame was a 13 - 20 loss to the Irish in OT
Last year Alabama vs Notre Dame was 42 - 14 beat down that was over before it started
Last year Stanford vs Washington was a 13 - 17 loss to the Huskies
Last year LSU vs Washington was a 41 - 3 beat down of the Huskies
While not perfect, here are the comparables
If 2012 Stanford = 2012 Notre Dame, then 2012 Alabama > 2012 Stanford
If 2012 Stanford = 2012 Washington, then 2012 LSU > 2012 Stanford
That is at least 2 SEC schools who should whip Stanford and you had (6) 10 win SEC schools last year. After that you had Vanderbilt and the Mississippi schools who should make a game of Stanford. It would only be the bottom 5 SEC schools last year that really would be below Stanford.

LSU hasn't lost to a Pac12 school in over 30 years

What does their record vs the sec for the past 80 years have to do with anything?

Well, considering there are no Pac-12/SEC bowl tie-ins outside the BCS, that leaves any potential matchup at the vagaries of OOC scheduling.
Playoffs start next year

I can't wait to go to this one.

Tennessee is the only SEC school willing to go on the road and play elite competition.

LSU played Oregon on a neutral site and West Virginia at WV in the same year. And crushed both.
Just because the hopeless Vols don't mind traveling cross country to get their asses handed to them and make the SEC look like shite, doesn't grant them any pats on the back.

Stanford could line up and play grown man football for 60 minutes with any SEC team.
No they could not. Lsu and bama have far superior talent at every position.

Stanford is good because they play a physical form of football in a finesse league. They are in no way, shape, or form the equivalent of the SEC's top tier. And in reality it only appears that stanford plays grown man football because their oppenents are soft.
If Alabama, LSU, and Georgia are Coca Cola then Stanford is Chek Cola. Yes, technically they are both dark, cola flavored soft drinks, but one is only a substandard version the the real thing.
They play our style but lack our athletes, it is what it is. Stanford would get mudholed by a top tier SEC team, they match up terribly.
Oregon matches up much better with the teams mentioned because they aren't trying to beat them at their own game with inferior talent.

You're stupid. Just in the miles era lsu has played Oregon, va tech ( twice), Arizona, Arizona st, Washington, west va, TCU, and NC AWAY FROM TS.

Exactly. They would be trying to play lsu, bama , uf and Uga at their own game while having less talent and depth at just about every position.

What's still with this: "SEC Football"
Love the umbrella or tent concept - even though you have quite a few shitty arse teams this year with quite a few shitty arse defenses.

Stanford looks good to me, but they play in the pac12, so their only competition is Oregon. Hard to tell for sure.

(2) Alabama : tie in 1927 (in SoCon) and loss in 1935
(1) Arkansas : won in 1970 (in SWC)
(1) Georgia : won in 1978
(1) LSU : won in 1977
(1) Missouri : won in 1971 (in Big 8)
(1) Texas A&M : lost in 1992 (in SWC)
(7) Total games in all of college football and (4) were not in the SEC at the time
It is like this clip but substitute 100+ years when he says 10 years. LINK

I'm sick of all the PAC 12 hype but I do think Stanford is probably going to win it this year because Oregon always folds against a good D, once or twice a year.

Lol, please don't tell me there are 4 or 6 teams in the SEC you think would beat Stanford. If so that's the dumbest thing I've ever read.

What SEC team is a dominant, physical football team? Florida is the only team with a dominant defense, and their offense is an abortion. The SEC this year is far from some "grown man football" league.

Lol, how do they "match up terribly"? Their front seven is better than anyone in the SEC's (not that Easley is injured).

Still stinging from being a Missouri fan, huh? No tradition in any sport must be tough to live with, and causes you to post stupidity. Feel for ya.
