Again last year Stanford lost in close games to Notre Dame and Washington. Both these schools were destroyed by SEC teams (Alabama's destruction of Notre Dame and LSU's total domination of Washington) so at least those two should beat Stanford. Just like the great defense Notre Dame was supposed to have was exposed the same could hold true for Stanford this year.

The primary post was to point this out and say are we heading down the same path again this year that we did with Notre Dame last year? Nobody is doubting Stanford is good in the PAC but I tend to doubt they would just be tearing up SEC teams if they had to play in the SEC this year instead of the PAC.

Last year Stanford played San Jose State, Duke, and Notre Dame for their non conference games and the first 2 were @ Stanford. In the post season they played Wisconsin and won by 6. This was the same Badger team that lost to 4 B1G teams and a PAC team in the regular season. Christ, Arizona put 48 points on Stanford last year and the Wildcats dropped 5 PAC games last year.

The general point was if they last played a SEC team back when Jimmy Carter was in the White House are they for real or just this years Notre Dame?

Yeah because I'm sure you'd pay up. You're an idiot if you think Stanford has more nfl talent I defense than lsu. Period.

I'll just bookmark this thread for when the draft comes along. 100% Stanford will have more of their 2013 starters on defense drafted than LSU will.

You show how little you know about cfb with this statement.

Elaborate please.

You can also respond to my follow-up post showing how Clemson doubled nearly every measurable metric in the game against LSU.

Thanks!

Clemson has a history and experience playing SEC schools, Stanford does not have this experience.

NO way anybody not named Stanford or Oregano have a chance at beating Georgia, Alabama, LSU, TAMU, Florida, Ole Miss, Vandy.

It's apparent you really don't know squat about anything outside the SEC...

Because UCLA might win the Pac 12 this year and UW has punchers chance.

I know, the Ducks are just not breaking that glass ceiling where the SEC elite schools reside

L Auburn in BCS game in 2011
L LSU in Jerry World in 2011

W Mississippi State home and home about a decade ago
W Tennessee home at home during their worst period in history

Keep holding onto those wins against the bottom SEC teams and someday you might get all the way through the glass

Are you serious? Yes. Any post season game that's not seccg or BCSCG is a meaningless bowl game. I'm sure it is to a lot of Florida fans as well.
Not winning the west is a seen as a failed season at lsu.

I said SEC defenses would regress this year. No one wanted to believe it.

WAZZU was going to hang with Auburn. Check.

Jordan was as good as Mingo. Check.

Stanford's d is not about its starters. Look up Vaughters, Shittu, Kalambayi, Noor Davis, etc. They have elite raw talent in their threes. Learn a little.

Oregon and Stanford would both be top 3 teams in this year's SEC. Not sure why this is so hard for SEC homers to grasp.

No No No! Wait.

Do you remember ( as theses fools here would say ) Auburn beat the Ducks in 2010 and LSU beat the Ducks in 2011. So that means everything! With that logic, UGA and LSU are garbage, because they both lost to Clemson. Those programs including the Ducks are Doom for life.

I cant believe these idiots can't get it together. The lost that happen two and three ago has NOTHING to do with this year team!!! New Team! New Season! New Coaches! New Year!

Let that sink in

Stanford just annihlated Wazzu who was at home...by a million points...physically dominated them.

Wazzu was physically and scoreboard equal to Auburn on the road.

The bottom-feeders and middle of the pack SEC blows...

This is the worst the SEC has been in about 15 years.

No Defense League...the bottom 5 are total garbage and would lose to the bottom of most conferences...

And the middle 5 aren't that much better.

LSu and Georgia proved yesterday their defenses of yore are a thing of memory.

But hey, you still have Bama right?

You can hang your hate on Bama...and call it "SEC Teams" - Bama will be plural to mean all you guys.

Other than Bama, anyone claiming the SEC is still #1 conference is living off of memory, reputation and the past.
