Who gives a crap about a TV station inside your stadium? Not players or fans.
Which is what someone who has inferior facilities would say.
Nice facilities matter. If it was just for "players and fans" you'd have aluminum bleachers for fans and portapotties for locker rooms.
It matters.

This statement makes no sense

Sorry but I like the heritage of how our stadium was built
I’d like to hear about it. I don’t think I’ve ever heard it.

It’s a Texas thing. They talk big money but the wealthiest person in the state is from Arkansas and the best known sports personality is all Hog.

You forgot the most important update:
2014- painted the white pvc shitpipe on the west side of the stadium to a more inconspicuous purple
In all seriousness the OP and several others are talking completely out of their arse. Tiger Stadium is simply the best atmosphere in college football and has been updated throughout the years to preserve the experience for the generations to come. To even compare it to that shite heap in Birmingham makes me want to slap people through the computer screen.

Nice stadiums and facilities are investments in the future success of your program.Recruits notice these things. The schools who realize this and spend to impress can have their pick of the best recruits. If facilities were not important Vandy would have a much better team. A Vandy education is extremely expensive and carries a lot of prestige. Yet you don’t see good players going there.

Congrats on them ditching Arkansas?

This is an architectural mess. Looks like sections of 4 different stadiums were spliced together.
Try 7 sections of kick arse. With the original sections almost 100 years old. Sorry not sorry.

LSUs stadium needs updating to bathrooms and concessions, but it’s sightlines are second to none
Seats go all the way to field level, and the stadium is steep which means the higher seats are also closer to the field
I have never in my life felt more detached from a game or further from the field than the seats I had at Bama. Beautiful stadium though.
First, you make a fundamental mistake that many fans make regarding the proximity of the first row of seats telling you something about how close the rest of the seats are to the action. The original 1924 sections of Tiger Stadium are right where they have always been, and they were originally separated from the field by a track. The fact that the track was eliminated, and crappy seats at field level added in front of the original stands does not mean that the rest of the seats are suddenly closer to the field. Since you want to talk about Bama (not that BDS is without fault, by any stretch) while the stands at mid-field at Bama are way too far from the field, the seats in the corners are actually closer than at Tiger Stadium because those stands were originally separated from the field by a track.
It's funny that you think the upper decks at Tiger Stadium are better than at Bama. I've never felt more distant from the action than from the East upper deck at Tiger Stadium. It was like being in orbit. Not that Bama end zone upper decks are much better, but the fact that you can't see the similarity is ironic.
It's a valuable piece of real estate, so it won't be replaced in the next 50 years (maybe not the next 100), and it does provide an exciting atmosphere, but don't overstate the case. Tiger Stadium does not have a reputation as being well built.

Alice initially wanted a big Ft. Worth horse ranch where she could DWI without problems and raise thoroughbreds. She still keeps a Texas address for income tax reasons, but she's got a fine house (and a Billion dollar art museum) in Bentonville.

I read an interesting article about UTs stadium recently. Seems there are or were actual dorm rooms under that rusty old stadium. I think Paul Finebaum lived there for a while when he was a student at UT. From what I’ve heard it is a really dark, creepy place down there. Very cave like. Also I think that they may actually have some classrooms still down to there to this day.

I’d be surprised. My engineering department offices were in the stadium and they were moved out about 10 years ago or so into one of the new engineering buildings. Pretty sure they were one of the last if not the last holdouts.
And there are no current dorms in there and haven’t been for a long time lol.
All those offices and the former dorms are on the east side - which is the one facing the river. None of that facade has been renovated yet but I assume when it is all those will be gone. They had to demolish some really old academic buildings before any of that work was approved. Think 2-3 buildings were in really close proximity.

“This is true. It's miles ahead of the Vaught from an aesthetics and appearance perspective.”
VHS is an interesting conglomeration. As another poster, it appears that it was piece-mealed together over many decades. I think it helped State that in 1986, the first expansion helped aesthetically and then that made it easier to keep that orderly look in 2000 and again in 2014.
It seems that OM did not really have a long term blue print to work from with regard to VHS and now it is what it is and not much can be done to undo what has been done.
My wife and I went to the State-UMASS game at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro a few years ago and that place is very impressive. Every seat is a chair back w/cup holder. The leg room is incredible, you can walk out from your seat without everybody having to turn their bodies. Very enjoyable experience. You can stretch your legs out in comfort. I hope “the State powers that be” will visit there before the next renovation. They did it right. Plus the plaza and the CBS scene that overlooks the N end of it is very nice.

Hence the Dolly Parton song Coat of Many Colors.
True stadium seating will have arrived when they are made like those installed in a Maybach.

Tiger Stadium needs a an upgrade to their concourses, though I'm not sure it's possible with how the stadium is constructed.
Kyle Field is by far the nicest stadium in the SEC. The views from the concourses in certain spots are spectacular.
