Got to admit, that is funny.

Tennessee is God's country.

Fun fact. At home games Bama fans sings the song "Dixieland Delight" as performed by the band "Alabama", however, it was writtten by a man from Tennessee (Ronnie Rogers) about East Tennessee. Therefore, we Bama fans literally sing about the beauty of Tennessee at every home game.

quote:

Rolling down a backwoods Tennessee by-way
One arm on the wheel
Holding my lover with the other
A sweet soft southern thrill
Worked hard all week
Got a little jingle
On a Tennessee Saturday night
Couldn't feel better
I'm together with my dixieland delight

Spend my dollar
Parked in a holler 'neath the mountain moonlight
Holdin' her up tight
Make a little lovin'
A little turtle dovin' on a Mason Dixon night
It's my life
Oh so right
My dixieland delight

Whitetail buck deer munchin' on clover
Red-tailed hawk sitting on a limb
Chubby ol' groundhog
Croakin' bullfrog
Free as a feeling in the wind
Home grown country girl
Gonna give me a whirl
On a Tennessee Saturday night
Lucky as a seven
Livin' in Heaven
With my dixieland delight

Spend my dollar
Parked in a holler 'neath the mountain moonlight
Holdin' her up tight
Make a little lovin'
A little turtle dovin' on a Mason Dixon night
It's my life
Oh so right
My dixieland delight

Spend my dollar
Parked in a holler 'neath the mountain moonlight
Holdin' her up tight
Make a little lovin'
A little turtle dovin' on a Mason Dixon night
It's my life
Oh so right
My dixieland delight

Rolling down a backwoods Tennessee by-way
One arm on the wheel

Tennessee, particularly East Tennessee, is absolutely gorgeous. I’ve always wanted to go in the fall when the leaves change. NW Arkansas is very pretty as well. We’ve vacationed to Beaver lake a couple times during the summer and fall and it’s very nice. Unfortunately Oklahoma is what it is. Wheat farms and cow pasture. Eastern Oklahoma is a little better but as it’s been said before, west of I-35 is pretty bleak.

I've lived coast to coast and traveled a good bit. The #1 thing that matters most is the company I'm with and the people I come across. Which usually doesn't have much to do with location. So I've enjoyed my time visiting the areas.
However, if you are going to grade it on these types of things, then Oklahoma and Texas are for the most part bottom tier.

The part of Oklahoma I went to (near Ft. Sill) and that area looked like something out of Road Warrior. Nothing but prairie dogs and drunk natives with trash yards.

No wonder during the western expansion of America the government was like, “if you want to live here you can have it”.
