1. Diversity of terrain. Oklahoma and Texas have the most diverse landscapes in the US.
2. Seasonal humidity. We get the 80+ degree dew points just like you scrubs as we are also gulf states or like Tennessee border gulf states but our winds shift occasionally and we get dry air sometimes.
3. More sunshine. Our trees fade at about the okc/ftworth lines. Less woody weeds to impede the sun. More streamlined. More of that golden sunshine.
4. Same gravy induced obesity problems but mixed with better Mexican food.
5. The south bleeding into the west creates the best region in America. Sorry about the rest of you.

Dallas and OCK are two of the most generic cities in the country. Very little character and the terrain around there is as dull as the food variety of the area is as boring as the terrain. Atlanta is a twin to Dallas but at least GA has the mountains of North Georgia and the coastal region. OK doesn't have either and TX has the slums of the Gulf Coast as beaches.

Oklahoma is America's butthole.

Stop trying to glom onto the great state of TX like a tick on a dog's balls.

Oklahoma was the reddist state in the union once again. So less transvestites too (Louisiana). If DFW was so boring why does it have almost 8 million people and is growing at a pace no other southern sub region can touch? OKC is next.

Things I have literally never heard anyone say #127: "You know what's a really pretty state? Oklahoma."

You really seem to have a hard on for transvestites.

What you say may be true. I really can't say nor dispute. I do know that as a kid, on the third Saturday in October every other year, the Bama vs UT game was and still is played in Knoxville. From my hometown on my Dad's boat, we would travel the Tennessee river to Knoxville to go watch the game. The fall colors reflecting in the river make the scenery of East Tennessee in the fall second to none.
