Dallas is DULL-arse UGLY...it's skyline is old-fashioned and dated. Atlanta has its problems, too, but at least it's a much more beautiful place than Dallas in which to enjoy one's misery. Atlanta's much more cosmopolitan and international and has a comparatively better climate as well. DFW & Houston suck.

I enjoy the state of Georgia as well, but Atlanta sucks haha.

What you say may be true. I really can't say nor dispute. I do know that as a kid, on the third Saturday in October every other year, the Bama vs UT game was and still is played in Knoxville. From my hometown on my Dad's boat, we would travel the Tennessee river to Knoxville to go watch the game. The fall colors reflection in the river make the scenery of East Tennessee in the fall second to none.

Tennessee is God's country.

When I lived in Albuquerque and would drive back to Alabama, I always dreaded the stretch of I40 from Amarillo through Oklahoma.

The good thing is you can easily make it through that area without stopping.

Unlike I10, where you are pretty much going to be spending a night in Texas, and the western parts are terrible when it comes to decent gas exits.

I10 is like - I need gas. Oh I see a gas station up ahead. Wait, that was the exit 2 miles back? What the frick.

Nobody - and I mean NOBODY - has Oklahoma on their bucket list of places to visit.

Our trees fade at about the okc/ftworth lines. Less woody weeds to impede the sun. More streamlined. More of that golden sunshine.

This sounds suspiciously like an uninhabitable wasteland.

I take an Oklahoma every morning except when constipated. Sometimes I have a case of the Texas and for that I take Pepto.

And the trees to boot.

Great pics.

The terrain of OK/TX has nothing on Georgia, even on its worst day.

Georgia is beautiful.

1. Diversity of terrain. Oklahoma and Texas have the most diverse landscapes in the US.

Texas is doing like 95% of the work here

It's like when us AU people talk about how Auburn and Alabama have combined to play for 90% of the last 12 titles or whatever

I’m a born native of Dallas and can say with 100% certainly the growth you’re speaking of is not a good thing. It’s literally nothing but California and Yankee transplants. It is a total shite hole today spread out across what was great pasture land.

Surely, you are not allowed to travel alone are you Mr. Clampett? Things happen so quickly at 30mph. Maybe use Ellie May as a lookout.

You forgot to mention the dust bowls. I’ve heard they’re beautiful this time of the year.

Tulsa is a gritty mid size American city with a lot of character. It's worth visiting. OKC not so much.

The scenery from I20 between FW and Abilene is just glorious.

I've been to both many times. Can't say Tulsa is somewhere to make a trip to, but there are many worse places. OK City has one area that's up to speed with modern American cities of it's size but otherwise ranges from plain to bleak.
