If you have been compelled to post on an Internet message board-unsolicited-not once but twice that something means nothing to you personally then your sense of nihilism regarding this subject is an abject failure.
It means something. It’s obvious.

He likes being cheered and he knows by attending sporting events in the south where his popularity is the highest, that'll happen.
He's now been to two Alabama games. This will be his second LSU game. Aside from Army/Navy, he's not going to games outside of the south because it would expose him to a non-friendly crowd (see attending the WS game in Washington where he promptly left after being booed).
On the surface, this makes sense.
Digging deeper, I’m guessing you lack the context that John Bel Edwards-Louisiana’s current Governor-is a liberal Democrat and has practiced with the team regularly, throwing passes, showing up on the road and on the sidelines of games, and going as far as being the first person to greet them on the tarmac after games on the road.
Hell he was on the front row of in NYC at the DAC for Burrow’s Heisman ceremony. He sat next to Orgeron. Who has appeared at campaign stops for him. Who has openly supported his runs for Governor. Time and again.
Orgeron has all but come out and said he’s a Democrat.
So why in the world would a POTUS motivated by id-fueled machinations like the ones you ascribe to him attend games, make phone calls to and plan to attend National Championship Games involving a team with a Head Coach who openly supports candidates that represent ideological and philosophical differences from a political perspective?
It doesn’t make sense using your lens of opinion.

If he really wants to have fun, he should hang out at Bar eating gumbo while watching the game on TV with a few hundred fans. Too much good food down there not to enjoy it on a short trip.

Trump heard there was a swamp in Louisiana that needed draining.

Doesn’t matter to me, but for the safety of all of the other fans, should he stay home?

Can’t wait to navigate that traffic. Fantastic. Looks like I’ll be in the quarter much earlier than anticipated

Might want to get in line the night before at this point
I actually got in line about 45 mins before KO and waited about 20 mins.Lots of folks panicked once they heard the POTUS was coming and got there about 2 hours earlier and just stood in the cold rain.
EVERYBODY gets the cavity search deal from
Secret Service PD.Frankly they were rude and extremely disorganized.Lets hope they have a better performance NO.

Big American sporting event and the POTUS is going. Just like it should be. He's the god damn president of this country.
And to the idiot who says over and over how the office means nothing to them. Living proof americans are spoiled little brats.

Yeah, not sure why you responded to me. I wasn't knocking Trump or the office of the presidency. It was a subtle jab at Lsu.

You think the DC Metro establishment swap where they voted like 97%-3% for Hilary was going to say something nice? Personally I think he would get a fairly warm reception in say penn State, Wisconsin, or Ohio State— states he won (not nearly as emphatically as in the southern states but still a victory nonetheless) as well.

Agree with you pretty boy.

I've seen it worse when the POTUS visits.
It was a rainy Monday so traffic was bad anyway.
Course I left work early and didn't go near the interstates going down and coming
back from MCB

Nope.....1st POTUS to NOT attend the WS in baseball.
Posted on 1/4/20 at 12:06 pm to AHM21
With tRUMP, where can he go & not face a non-friendly crowd?
Posted on 1/4/20 at 12:17 pm to southernboisb
I’ve seen Trump in person four times and Secret Service isn’t that bad. They put up signs of what you can’t bring and post it online days in advance as well. The Atlanta game was poor preparation and if I remember it was spur the moment. Putting it out there now makes for better preparation. I think Tuscaloosa went like clockwork opening the gates 3 hours early. I’m sure the same will be done at the Superdome.

What is this the 40th football game he’s attended as POTUS? If Obama did this he would be tarred and feathered on here
Except Obama was actually a sports fan.
