I thought Bama fans didn't care if Cochran left with him personally tearing ACL's to your LB corp.
Butt-hurt is all I see...we will happily take him. Thanks for the good get.
The only thing worse than losing Cochran in the S&C would have been to hire him as a special teams coach. Either way he would have been gone from the S&C program, only we'd have a ST coach with 0 experience on top of it.
And to be honest, after the hires they've made and the things I've been reading about Alabama's new S&C regarding injuries, losing him in the S&C no longer really seems like a loss. Really didn't expect that a few weeks ago honestly.

I'd think that was an easy choice for Lane.
I don't see what the big deal is here? Lane took the better option...end of story.

Last year his Bama hate/Clemson nut ride act was new, different and it wasn't beat into the ground yet. A year later with LSU's successes it's just not original nor near as funny.
I get that it is the Rant but its not necessary to take a big steaming dump in every single Bama related thread every single time one is posted. The schtick is worn thin already.

You really just said that.

It's not.
A broken record is broken.

This paragraph puts Cochran in a REALLY bad light.
Not necessarily. If I genuinely feel I’ve been exposed to relevant experience to get a promotion into a new role but get told they’re hiring from outside and to spend more time learning from that new person, I would be pissed.
I think Cochran could have felt like he was being held back to keep him in S&C despite his career ambitions. That would rub anyone the wrong way.

This made me laugh.
I'm not sure why William gets to you now when you've had Bowl Jackson and Mrs. Garrison shitting in every thread for years.

So Saban was sick of his production numbers and injuries? Glad that’s confirmed. Sounds like both parties were ready for a change. Win win for both sides. UGA is the loser with a buyout and a rookie ST coach with an ego.
Cochran started in 2007 when Saban was hired. Injuries weren’t a problem through 2017, an 11 year span, so how exactly were the injuries his fault?

When's the last time he did this? It's now Bama hate/LSU nut ride...big change it seems to me.

I don't know. I can't explain it. Even last year when I'd actually argue with Willy, he could have his funny moments. Now it's just annoying and boring.
It should be different and a better standing for him, I agree. Instead he's fumbling it and sucking way more in the process.

That's just not nice. You're going to hurt someone's feelings you big meanie.

It's not...Injuries are going to happen no matter the S&C program. Some folks just look for excuses.
I wonder if Indiana has gone injury free since Bama just hired their S&C coach. Hell...Indiana had some players that missed the Gator Bowl in Jan. I guess that was Cochran's fault.

Cochran overstresses his players for bulk and explosiveness. Catastrophic injuries abound. A gloom hangs over the locker room. It ain't fun any more. The Lying Lilliputian figures this out FINALLY and pushes him out the door. Cochran is tired of being portrayed for what he has become, The Ego's not-so-bright screamy errand boy. Every time Cochran saw the commercial where he was portrayed as a flunky who is moments away from taking his Daddy's laundry to the cleaners, he left the room, humiliated. These things, the bad luck, the injuries, the on-field physical beat downs, the missed assignments, the fan arrogance, the assistant coaching turnover, the constant whining, the rising grumbling about the beasts in Baton Rouge surpassing them, are what happens when THE DECLINE has entered the irreversible stage. Tiny Nick has maybe three more years but I'm guessing 2019 wrecked him. Time for the gold watch.

Bama loses a great strength coach
Georgia gains a special teams coordinator who doesn't know what he's doing
Win Win for everyone else

When A1abana is winning - you all can dish it.
When A1abana is losing - you all can't take it.
Seems pretty simple to me.

If history will be kind to all who watch football, next year when UGA comes to Tuscaloosa they will play Bama extremely close only to be ultimately beaten by either a blown special teams play by UGA or a great special teams play by Bama. I mean that would be par for the course for both schools really, a gut wrenching way for Bama to win over UGA!!!
