It's just not the 70-90 million a #1 pick will get.

#1s don't get that much anymore. They get about half that much. Murray signed for about $35MM this past year. Tua also very likely wouldn't be taken over Lawrence next year

If a player is drafted 1st, 2nd, any round with injuries such as Tua's injury, can this be a special contract with a risk factor written in? Can they cut him later without the large 1st round payoff. Even if he plays, will he ever be 100%? Drafting an injured player is really a crap shoot. I wish him well, but it's a bad situation.

Lamar Jackson was the last pick in first round of 2018 draft. His signing bonus was a little north of $5 million.

Early teen picks are worth around a $10+ million signing bonus.

Tua is still a high draft pick unless there is something unknown about his injury/recovery.

Personally, I'm taking the money. There are no guarantees in this life. $10 mil goes a long way.

I have heard two different NFL scouts say he does not like getting hit and becomes a different (not in a good way) QB after getting hit a few times.

He was an amazing college player.

My personal view is I hope he never plays in college again and gets paid at the next level for a long, long time.

I just hope he is making a rational decision either way, not an emotional one.

Sounded like he hasn't decided yet.

But the football geniuses are clairvoyant.

Pretty small sample size wouldn’t you say? Never take a statistics course in college? Or did you not go?

Well Coach O has been head coach for 3 years. What size should I use for him as head coach at LSU? I'm sure you would love the no offense years of Les Miles be added.

I have a graduate degree with honors. How about you, Einstein?

LSU with Miles' players:
8-5, 9-4, 11-2, 13-1

Looks like O's not unique in the whole "trending up with a bullet" stage of his coaching career.

Actually impressive for an offensive challenged Les Mills coached team. LSU is now a different team offensively. And what has caused Bama problems over the years under Saban? Offenses similar to what LSU now uses.

frick you. You must have missed all the gifs posted by low life Bama fans of Mettenberger crawling off the field after being injured.

Like most fan bases we wished him well and a speedy recovery.

Not sure who would write that policy on him at this point.

That would be quite a risk for an insurance company to take
