With his injury history, this is just dumb. One more big issue, and he'll drop way, way down the draft boards. The chances of him staying injury free at this point are remote.

Nothing left to prove. Go make your money while you can.

Who knows what his logic is. Wish him well. He won't have the same WRs next season so his production may actually go down.

True. But after ankle and hip surgery back to back, his situation is very different.

Not every player has multiple medically unnecessary surgeries on sprained ankles just so he could return a week earlier.

If I’m Tua I’m getting as far the frick away from Saban as is possible.

Walter football has him as the #10 pick to the Chargers.

West coast and Phillip Rivers replacement.

Looks like O's not unique in the whole "trending up with a bullet" stage of his coaching career.

I’m now assuming you literally know nothing about the procedure that was done.

Do you have any legit reason to believe Tua's return might somehow effect Bryce's commitment besides your own personal pearl clutching or nah?

You’re not very intelligent if you automatically assume that it doesn’t potentially change things. A 5 star athlete that has a chance to start from day 1 is effected by then finding out that he for sure won’t be playing and that he’ll have to wait a year. Do I think it’s more likely that he will stay committed? Yes. There is USC team right down the road from him that would start him tomorrow. So, if he is the type looking at it from a playing time perspective then yes, I would say it’s a “legit” reason and could potentially “effect” things. Does everything have to be spelled out for you?

Why does he want to come back with 3 new WRs?

Is it even a realistic expectation for him to be healthy enough to play next year even if he does return? Seems like all the news when it happened put a year time table on Tua's injury before being able to even evaluate when he can return to playing. That doesn't sound like a situation where he's going to be ready to go in August

Maybe the bigger point is that LSU has tremendous potential and it can be very successful under different leaderships and playing styles. O and Miles are good coaches but safe to say just about any other place they wouldn't have had success at this level.

Maybe not, but if he isn’t ready to go he could always redshirt and come back to the 2021 team or go to combine/pro days and enter the draft in 2021. However, I see it more likely that he is ready to go in August based on what I’ve read.

We won't go undefeated every single season? How horrible. O is in over his head

When he got hurt, I thought that was his best course of action: take the redshirt, get the free healthcare from Alabama, show NFL teams he's ready to go physically, and peace out after next season without subjecting himself to additional potential injury

You've had a lot of 5* recruits over the last several years. Did they all hit the portal like bitches because they didn't get to play year 1?

Perhaps I have more faith in the allure of your program, and the offense you run, to a prospective QB recruit, that it's unlikely he'd really think he's just going to just walk into a place like Bama and start day 1 because of his Rivals star count.

Well then that's where he should go if he expects to be the starter on day 1, right?

Good. I don’t want any excuses when Auburn goes 3 out of the last 4 next year.

He's dumber than I thought he was then. He's injury prone and has endured four surgeries in two seasons. Even if he falls to the middle of the first round, which is a worse case scenaria, that's tens of millions. It's just not the 70-90 million a #1 pick will get.
