Memphis is separated by areas like most cities. You have
West Memphis right over the river in Arkansas - (They aren't memphis, but like to think of themselves as memphis since no one wants to be from Arkansas.
Downtown - second safest area of memphis. You will find Beale food and bar scene, the pyramid, sun studios, Autozone park, FedEx Forum, best fried chicken in the world, ect.
North Memphis - stay away!! Stay far far far away. When people talk ill of Memphis it's normally the Hyde Park areas.
East Memphis - here is where you will find the memphis money. You have the malls, bar scene on Cooper/young, memphis zoo, Ect. Safest part of Memphis. Just traffic heavy.
South Memphis - oldest part of Memphis. Again like the North, stay away. Nothing to see there.

it's all part of a vast, right-wing conspiracy to piss off the lswho fans!
You know,Bama and Tennessee like to claim they "built" the conference's football culture, and that they should have extra consideration for that when it comes to things like preserving the TSIO game. And they get it. They both greedily embrace their privilege there.
Who do you think built the SEC baseball culture? Which programs regularly pack the stands for baseball?
Don't you think maybe we're tired of going to Hoover, a place that holds zero appeal to anyone?
LSU is to baseball in the SEC what Bama is to football and Kentucky is to basketball. If you think Bama should have more sway in football matters, then LSU should have more sway in baseball matters. Personally, I would like to see all teams' opinions treated equally. Either move the tournament around or play it in the best facility available in a neutral site, like we do for football.
We don't have problems with the Georgia Dome. The football championship is played there because it's a great facility in the South's most important city. The Hoover Met provides neither perk. It's a crappy facility in a suburb of a crappy city long past its prime.
The time has come to move the baseball tournament.

I've treated the baseball team the same way I treated the basketball team. Started going to games early, but the quality hasn't improved. I'm not a fan of Gaspard at all. But he won't be fired because Battle won't take the time to look for another HC after his basketball search. Its sad really, 'Bama baseball used to be fun.
Bama baseball is still fun. Last season at the Joe with the new Right Field was badass. It sucked playing in the Ham this year but next season should be fun with the renovations. I think they really missed an opportunity to build a new park by the Black Warrior on the new Byrce land. Would have liked to have seen that rather than upgrades to an existing stadium. Gaspard has at least one more year probably two. Bama baseball is in a rut this year but we'll bounce back.

I just think it needs to be rotated. Give each city a chance to host the SEC Tourn.
Maybe we should rotate every title game?

We get it! LSU fans want to have the tournament in a better stadium closer to fricking Louisianna. Got it. Now will you please shut the frick up about it? Oooooo..... Here's a better idea! Instead of shitting up the board with this, why don't you email the SEC offices with your brilliant ideas for the league.
frick. frick. frick.
looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the futon

They need to move it to Memphis. First class stadium and plenty of hotels.

The SEC's contract with Hoover ends next year (2016).
I have not heard/seen anything about an extension. Nashville has a brand-new minor league ballpark, FWIW.

I wish it wasn't in Hoover.
If it is going to be in Birmingham, AT LEAST move it to downtown at the Baron's stadium.

You can't compare a niche sport to the a Big 2 sport

It's college baseball.
Don't you get it? You may care. I may care. Some others here may care. But the vast majority of fans don't. It is what it is and it doesn't matter where you play it, it will never draw big crowds. Ever.

Yet Alabama has more wins and a higher winning percentage in baseball than LSU.

Tell us all about your many National Championships....idiot !

I'd love to see it at Regions Field. But that's just selfish on my part since I can walk there from my office in about 8 minutes. I don't see the need for RV's at a tournament site. You don't see them for the Basketball tournaments. There are plenty of decent hotels in downtown Birmingham, and there is gameday parking around the field that is a short walk to the stadium. Plus there's Good People across the street where you can hang out before or after any game you wanted to see.
