You know... I don't even care that they are Euro pros. I mean... we are paying all the players. They are all pros. European or not, it makes little difference.

I don't even care if they are older players, either.

The NCAA has made a mockery of this sport. We might as well stretch the limits of what's fair, tasteful, or possible to their greatest extremes, no matter how ridiculous it looks. If the NCAA doesn't care... why should we? Just put a winner on the court.
As far as television goes, he’s one of the all-time greats. A titan in TV history. His legacy is assured there.
Man, I really like Slugtavius.

Going to suggest that one for when I have grandchildren.
How do I know this show is good?

When the priest was in the woods my wife (no pics) said out loud… “What are you doing?”

She NEVER talks to the screen. Ever.

Afterward, she denied saying anything at all. She had no idea she even did it. That’s how into the show she was.

This is a very good show.
Verbatim:

“Tyree, I neeb you help with phone. Please. You promise me.”

Someone out there neebs help from Tyree, and they never got it. Poor Tyree… a promise unfulfilled.

A lot of drama in that two line text.

If keeping your spot in an EBR school is that important to a family, then they should just move to BR.

After all, that’s what everyone else in BR has had to do for decades in order to ensure their kids got a decent education. Either that or pony up private school tuition.
I was surprised that I got some legitimate laughs from this show. It’s a combination of the lines and delivery. It’s funny!

As long as you’re satisfied that you’re seeing an incomplete biopic… the movie is great. There’s a lot of Jackson family members in the producer credits.

I did enjoy watching MJ’s creative process at work. That was my favorite part of the movie.

My least favorite thing was there were people just outright missing from the movie. I get that Janet didn’t want to be in the movie, for instance, but again… family is producing the movie. If they weren’t… Janet would be in… and her opinion on it would be irrelevant.
I don’t think the story is true. It has questionable sourcing. I mean, it’s a FUN story. But it’s just internet bullshite.

re: The decline of American restaurants

I don’t really do restaurants anymore. I discovered I can cook better than most of them, and that’s the problem. I’m not really a great cook. I’m just okay.

The quality of food in restaurants these days is just okay (or worse) almost all the time. The only motivation I have to drop money in a restaurant is if it’s food that far exceeds anything I could do on my own.

Philly finishes it with about two minutes left. I don't love Philly, but Sid and Malkin can eat a big fat one. Good night, boys.

I agree with this. There’s a large portion of the Penguins fan base that has no idea what it’s like to play without a superstar(s) in the lineup. Sure, I’m jealous of it. I admit it. But… I’m not sorry to see them go home.

Have you seen the arenas that AHL and ECHL teams play in?

Yes. I have. It’s called the River Center. Baton Rouge used to have an ECHL team.

Look, I know it’s not rigged out for the ECHL or the AHL anymore. But this is not the craziest idea in the world. Arenas can be built or modified if the right people are involved. What I’m saying is there is an opportunity there if someone wants to explore it. That’s all. No need to shut it down on concept.
What BR or NOLA realistically could do is work with Houston’s NHL bid to get their farm AHL team.

Houston to the NHL is inevitable.

The AHL is high quality hockey. The problem with the Zydeco and their league is that it’s shite hockey and the whole thing is low-rent. Someone in Louisiana should grab that potential AHL team. It actually could be done.
Right…. So the SPLC has the same privileges and authority to conduct clandestine operations as a federal investigative agency. Okay. Got it, media.

Morons.
I don’t understand how it’s unfair to working New Yorkers if someone out of town owns a $238 million penthouse. What’s the difference if someone lives there or not?

Is it that they think a “working New Yorker” could better fill that $238 million space?

So you seize it, and turn it into a tenement. Okay. Who’s paying your special tax to fund the whole city now?

Typical commie gobbledygook.

Their old red helmet/black jersey/white pants combo was way better than any of this. It’s a shame they don’t embrace that uniform instead.

Never forget… we live in the most incredible country in the world and in history. Moments like this are the proof.
We got St. Peter’s and Notre Dame on lockdown.
LSU’s PA announcer at the PMAC literally introduced him as “General Will Wade” before games at the PMAC years ago.

It’s 100% his accepted nickname. Deal with it.
At LSU, the rewards are great and the pressure is high.

The expectations for our coaches are clearly defined and communicated.

The resources and support we give our programs, players, and coaches are extensive.

The fans will be and should be disappointed by bad performance.

Anyone involved in athletics at this level understands all of the above. In fact, they come to LSU for all of this.

LSU fans ARE hypercritical. But… so what?
