Exactly. Why not rotate EVERY title game or series?

I fricking HATE Atlanta. I have to go there enough for work, no way I'm going to that shithole voluntarily to watch a football game. Don't care who's playing in it. However, I don't post on the SECr every fricking year about how it needs to be moved.

and there is gameday parking around the field that is a short walk to the stadium
Interesting. So you are saying there are several thousand empty parking spots in downtown Birmingham (plug in Memphis or Nashville) during Tuesday through Thursday work days? Have you seen the parking lot at Hoover in between Session 1 and Session 2 during the week? Are there no businesses near the new park? Are they going to close shop for those days so as to open up parking spaces?

Rotate it around all the minor league stadiums in the SEC.

Pensacola
Biloxi
Mobile
Jackson
Jacksonville
Huntsville
New Orleans

I am sure I have left out some pretty nice stadiums in the SEC area.

People that sit at home or work and bitch about the location of games they aren't attending are the worst. I'd bet over half the people that bitch in these threads have never bothered to attend a college baseball game, let alone the tournament. Your opinions are worthless.

Let them live in their RV's down by the RIVER!! Seriously, Tom Lee Park should work just fine. If bands can set up stadiums I'm sure Memphis can work RV's necessities in somehow.

I am talking about cars coming and going. You have 4,000 empty parking spaces near Autozone during weekday work days?

Yes. There is a huge barking garage by the Peabody place, there is the entire downtown parking lots( Google how many, there are close to 50 different lots. there is numerous hotel parking lots, and again I am sure the city of Memphis could figure something out if parking was an issue.

how do you think the city of Memphis has event parking for all the different events at Memphis in May? No way they could do that with businesses and such right? And these are events with tens of thousands of people, more than half of which are not residents. You think the SEC baseball tournament midday weekday games would shut down the city?

there's also a giant parking lot at the liberty bowl and a huge RV park on the river in West Memphis. If someone absolutely has to bring an RV, there are places that could accommodate them

in what universe are 4000 parking spaces needed? Do you realize how many public parking garages there are in downtown Memphis that are basically empty when nothing is going on downtown?

Pretty much every day especially if either of the Session 1 games go long. Maybe the real number is 3,850 but it's a bunch.

And Nashville is building a giant garage exclusively for the new ballpark.

you're gonna have a hard time getting 4000 fans period for most games that take place during the workday. You think every person in the stadium is taking one car? You don't think a lot of the fans will just stay at hotels downtown and walk? Autozone seats 10k people. If you had a sell out, you'd only need that many spots if you had just 2 people per car. Regardless, there are plenty of garages and lots in downtown Memphis to accommodate. If they can accommodate Memphis in May, they can do the same for SEC baseball. Memphis has hosted the SEC basketball tournament several times. That draws many many more people than SEC baseball
