Can I cancel YouTube TV and just get the ESPN app and get all the ESPN channels plus the SEC Network to watch all the games?
Only reason why I have YouTube TV is to get games. I can easily get an antenna to get local channels with Fox, CBS, NBC, etc.

That's my understanding.

If that is the case, then that is the way to go! $30/month.
Only reason I have YouTubeTV is to watch games…nothing else.

Hulu comes with the ESPN app thing already, and it's the same price as YoutTubeTv.

Them: so I can pivot away from pricy YouTube TV?
You: also you can pay the same amount for the same thing instead of this much cheaper alternative

$30/month gets you all ESPN access. $5 daily passes on Sling, get you a few ESPNs.
Those seems to be the most affordable deals for people that don’t want anything but access to the games.

You wouldn't be able to watch any of the games on Fox (Texas at Ohio State for one) or any pro games, but if you were cool with that then go ahead and save 60 bucks.

Get an antenna for the Fox, CBS, ABC, NBC. Plus, it would be in 4k

That is what I am going to do since all the live TV stuff with the ESPN channels are 80 bucks plus a month. Pay 30 a month and I bought an indoor antenna for 15 bucks that gives me ABC, CBS and Fox. My antenna doesn't get NBC though.

I was reading up on this and for 39.99 you can get the “Fox One” bundle with ESPN.
The bundle will also allow viewers to watch all channels that carry FOX Sports events live (FS1, FS2, FOX Deportes, Big Ten Network, FOX Local Stations, and the FOX Network) and all ESPN linear networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACCN, ESPNEWS, ESPN Deportes, plus ESPN on ABC). There are also on-demand replays and original programming that's made available through ESPN+, along with over 47,000 live sporting events each year.
Just read the fine print and the Fox One w/ ESPN bundle won’t be available until Oct 2 for some reason. Plan accordingly!

I think there's a cheap version of Peacock. I just use someone else's account. I did have it, but I have no reason to pay for it now that it won't have WWE. Im going to have to check the antenna I have.

Sure as hell hope the new Roku app is better than the current ESPN app which is absolute trash among a sea of trash.

yup, and it's also $30 for disney+, hulu, and espn unlimited for 12 months then $35 after.

Correcto. That's what I did.
I'm hoping this will make YTTV and other streaming TV companies be more competitive with their pricing and/or start to include free ad-ons with their base packages.

This seems like sound advise.
I want to extend this discussion with some additional cable cutting information.
I recommend that if you don't have an antenna, get one anyway. As long as you're within about 20 miles or so of the local antennas you can get good reception with a smaller indoor unit. just spend the 30 bucks and get one.
I also recommend get a Tablo device or similar with a 2-3 gig hard drive. I've had a 2 tuner Tablo for 6 years or more and love it! I can record, pause/play, anything that comes through the antenna. Tablo also provides all the information about a movie or show like, year made, actors, direct, just good for TV watchers. I recommend the 4 tuner though.
Tablo unit runs about $100 and the HD that holds all your recordings $60.00-$90.00.Spent this last football dry month rewatching the Texas game from last year. Not ashamed to admit I watched the Georgia games once and then deleted.
Sounds like the ESPN app is exactly what I need and can dump YouTube. One good thing YouTube has is you can watch 4 games at once and click to expand a single game instantly, then go back to 4 after the score.
Forgot to mention, Tablo can plug into a single tv, or (like me) you plug into your WiFi and it projects to any tv in the house.
