This is extremely detailed. I thought it would be like 3 lines saying Bama lost with one second left

I'm sure there is a wiki page for the 2012 BCS title game, too. Congrats.

Just off my limited knowledge of Bama football history, no.

ULM beat them under this same coach.

Also, Shula.

Yeah, that is actually a very well done, non-biased run down. Interesting read.

Among the reactions of national media to the ending was that of Yahoo! Sports columnist Pat Forde:
It was, quite simply, the most astounding ending ever to a college football game. I was at the Boise State-Oklahoma Fiesta Bowl in 2007; this tops it. More at stake, and even more shock value on the final play (minus the player proposing to his girlfriend on the field).

Is this true?

It was a memorable ending. But, I don't think it tops the 2007 Fiesta Bowl. I think it's debatable whether it is even Top 5.

I think it does. The stakes involved with the game, the epic game that had been played up to the point of the final play, and a final play that had never been done before to end a game.

Close call but give me the IB

the only thing on the national news(non sports) regarding the ok/bsu game was the player who proposed to his cheerleader GF. The iron bowl was on pretty much every news outlet

I think Saban's stupidity dampens the memorability of Kick Bama Kick. From 57 yards, there was absolutely no way the ball was going to be kicked through the endzone. Not to mention the fact the normal kicker and holder weren't on the field at the time, so nobody with any experience had any shot at stopping Davis from returning the kick.

I think Punt Bama Punt and the Prayer in Jordan-Hare tops Kick Bama Kick.
