more like pissed off.
4 losses in 3 years.
2 losses caused by not having a fg kicker worth a shite when it matters.
that is on Saban.

I think it's very kind and charitable of Saban to make sure Auburn's defense has 10 seconds to substitute next season.

Auburn's defense is just turrible and clearly could use the help.

Saban rightly deserves praise for this high minded thoughtful concern for others.

I think it does. The stakes involved with the game, the epic game that had been played up to the point of the final play, and a final play that had never been done before to end a game.

Close call but give me the IB

Had Auburn not made it to the BCS game, I don't think it would have carried as much weight.

But as it turned out, the IB was a quarterfinal game to get to the BCS championship game, with the SEC championship being the semi-final.

9-6 was a game you could blame on a kicker.

Having one scoring play (a 99 yarder) in an entire half against Auburn's defense isn't something I'd lay at the feet of the kicker. Sure, the kicking game sucked balls but the inability to do anything in the red zone in the 2nd half had a lot more to do with the loss.

Wonder which fanbase wanted to tear those fieldgoal posts down more--AU or UA?

I seem to remember that Bama tried to get a quick passing game going at the start of the game. McCarron tried to get to his receivers at some quick slants if I recall. However, none of them seemed to connect like they wanted for whatever reason.

Didn't Bama go 3 and out on at least their first two possessions of the game?

I think we broke a big run on the first or second play of the game. Then stalled.

ETA:
1st two plays were:
TJ Yeldon - 31 yd run
Amari Cooper - 11 yd. pass

Then we stalled and missed a 44 yarder.

Murray had some success in the quick passing game in the Georgia game two weeks before. It seemed to neutralize Ford and allowed Georgia to sustain drives.

It looked like Bama was trying to do the same thing, but for whatever reason the shallow routes weren't working as well as they did for Georgia.

I seem to remember we had a few drops early when we were hitting some quick passes.

I've always been a big fan of quick passing. I remember Utah absolutely carved up our defense using quick slants and short across the middles passes in the Sugar Bowl.

9-6 and the AU game was on the kicker. ( same kicker).
When a SEC school kicks from 45 yds or in it should be 3 points.
It's Sabans job to sign players that can do the job. He didn't do his job.

Someone added the "GPS coordinates of the precise point in end zone where Chris Davis scored winning touchdown".

32° 36' 9.39? N, 85° 29' 20.33? W
32.602609, -85.488981

Necessary?

There have been many more embarrassing losses than that one.

Hell, Mike DuBose's haircut alone is more embarrassing
