I believe LSU most heated rival is Ole Miss.

Second would probably be Alabama with A&M a close third

Back in the day, it was definitely Tulane and Ole Miss

You'll never understand the hatred Arkansas has for Texas. I don't hate LSU, it is just another game.

For LSU we don’t have a true rival. We hate all of your bitch schools equally. Hope this clears it up for you!

1000% correct.

Arkansas and Aggy would be a distant co-second.

lol, no.

Ole Miss, Florida, Bama are the biggest 3.

then maybe a+m but that's only because it's terrifying to think of losing to gay milkmen. It's more of a "we better not lose; that'd be embarrassing" rivalry with aggy.

Historically speaking, Tulane and Ole Miss.
Tulane because it was an in state rivalry.
In the late 1950s and through the early 1970’s Ole Miss was the biggest rivalry game of the year for LSU. The game lost much of its rivalry status after the mid-70s.

They showed a graphic during the Texas - OU game that I found very interesting.

The Alabama - LSU game was 3rd on the list of “rivalry” games (Texas - OU was 1, Ohio State - Michigan 2, and Alabama - LSU 3 with the number of games where each team was ranked.

Alabama and LSU, both, take their byes the week before they play each other, and have for the past 20 years.

Bama fans talk more shite with, and about LSU, than any other team. LSU fans hate, and want to beat Bama more than any other team.

But…. We aren’t rivals.

Texas rival................ Oklahoma

I'm thinking LSU would make a good second.

I was hoping to get Arkansas back. Thanksgiving is Piggy week in my book. I hope it doesn’t become Oklahoma week. Teams should be relatively close

From 1958 to 1991 the series had 20 games decided by 7 points or less.

It lost a lot of steam with the teams not playing each other regularly since Arkansas joined the SEC.

It won't ever go back. Both Arkansas and LSU didn't want the game I guess bad enough to stay as it was.

I’ve been to Arkansas numerous times and never been around hog fans without hearing at least a snide comment about LSU. So don’t think for a second Arky doesn’t view LSU as a rival.

Negative.

When someone on a message board, regardless of team allegiance, has to post a thread asking who our true rival is after we just played Ole Miss 2 days ago, that’s how you know it ain’t Ole Miss. That’s what we’re “told” and it’s the “proper” answer, but most fans under 40 don’t give a shite about the Ole Miss game any more than any other SEC opponent depending on how good they are.

Bama and aTm are by far the closest things we have to rivals at the moment, and they both have rivals already that will never be replaced. And Bama for the most part only hates LSU when we’re good. LSU has an added dimension because of Saban, but he’s gone now, they’re also not very good at all. So I would say that “rivalry” already has lost some heat.

Tenured LSU fans and the program say:

Alabama
Ole Miss
Florida
Texas A&M

In that order

A&M? No. Auburn would be above A&M.

Technically it's supposed to be Tulane and OM but they both usually suck, so...
