Sark isn’t going to Vandy. He will get a top 20 job this year or next most likely.

Does Vandy have the money for a top name hire?

They get SEC TV and bowl money plus alum with deep pockets

Probably dont have big 6 money but certainly enough to make it interesting for an up and coming G5 HC or P5 OC/DC

Trust me, I'm familiar with Vandy and with Gee.

But I'm serious. You might as well start at the top, and while I'd quickly start developing options B-Z I'd still make him say no, if for no other reason than to make a point.

Outside of that, yeah, I can see CPJ becoming a real option - pun intended.

Willie Fritz is a good call. He recruits to a comparable school already. He runs a spread. His Georgia Southern team was fun to watch on offense.

Gruden, the name most associated with a coaching search at a Tennessee school.

I've said it for years, go triple option. See if Paul johnson is truly done, or steal a service academies coach

In all honesty, they really should.

Any coach who is ready to make some good money and then retire in 4 years. If I was an life long assistant in my 50’s I would be all over it.

I would bet they'll pay the buyout and pony up for the next guy.

Vandy has to roll the dice on a young guy. They strike gold and he leaves in 5 years or he's a bust and they try again in 4.
