and shuts down their running game? Chubb overated? LSU fans will be complaining about refs? I think we really do have a good chance of doing that with just our linemen, they are that good against the run.

That UGA wasn't good in the first place.
Never fails.
Never fails.

that UGA hadn't played anyone good yet and they're overrated yet again
ETA: I also think a lot of people expect Alabama to win

I think most rational people realize that just because Alabama lost to Ole Miss doesn't mean they're a bad team. It obviously doesn't mean that UGA can automatically assume they're going to win.

Same linemen as last year right?

I think people will say Bama strengths matched up good against UGA's.
I am more interested to see if media darling Ole Piss loses some cred if UGA beats Bama soundly without getting 5 turnovers. It was a comedy of errors that kept Bama from winning that game.

This will happen regardless of whether Bama wins or not.

Different style offense and running back with more experience by the D Front?

Well, the Ole Miss loss was a bit of a fluke. 5 TO's and emaculant reception II won't happen again.
As far as stopping Chubb with your D-line....I hope Kirby and Papa Saban think the same thing.

LSU already believes LF is better than Chubb, so that won't matter.
Even if Bama wins by 40, LSU fans will recall a first quarter non holding call that allowed Bama to win.

narddogg81 - I won't think anything more than waiting for the next time I meet up with your old lady

Not sure the point of this topic - seems to be inviting the very kind of horrible posts that plague this place. But to try to answer: it would be impressive indeed if Bama manages to shut down Chubb, but I guess we'd have to see it and what it looked like. This is the biggest game so early in a season I can think of in a long time; both teams have a lot to lose. And I mean a lot.
Bama is in a really tight spot right now; they can't drop another one. UGA looks like the team to beat in the East and may be fielding their best team in the Mark Richt era. But everyone - including UGA fans - are just waiting for them to lose a few games just like always. Tennessee is going to be very tough, and a loss here buts a resurgent Florida in the driver's seat.
Should be a great game and I'll enjoy watching you two duke it out. We're going to learn a lot on Saturday

Stop it. Subtract 140 yards from anyone's rushing stats and the D will look good. And why do you think tOSU ran it 42 times?
I suspect because it was working.

Most yards ever allowed by a Saban led defense to a running back methinks
Of course it was a tongue and cheek comment but why does Bama just expect to shut down a good team with a top 5 running back in the country. And the OP was the one who said the DL would shut down the run game (which you seem to dispute since the Bama DL clogs lanes freeing LBers to make, or not make, plays). So maybe your real beef is with the OP

Why are LSU fans always so worried about what other people think?
