USC hoping for rain this weekend so they can pull the tarp out at will and chase pitchers out of the game!

Isn’t the BR Regional routinely plagued with rain delays?

Just looks like that canceled LSU game gave them an unearned spot.

The cancelled game did nothing to help or hurt. Playing that game could have only helped since LSU was #1 and ranked highly in the RPI.

That said, afterwards we still swept UF. We took a game off Arkansas, Vandy, UT, Auburn. It wasnt winning series, but it was still winning games here and there.

South Carolina dropped their last 4 SEC series.

Edit - I forgot they did beat Georgia in Hoover before dropping the next two.

Since splitting the series with LSU, South Carolina won 1 of their next 6 series. Imagine if they played and lost to LSU. That would be 6 series lost out of 7.

Aaron Fitt is not a fan of SC hosting.

Pathetic. Absolutely putrid.

Right? His selling point is winning 1 game in 4 straight series like that’s a good thing.

SC does not deserve a host spot. We will be eliminated quickly anyways.

Arkansas swept Tennessee but only won 2 vs South Carolina.

Honestly South Carolina seemed like a very well-rounded team a couple of weeks ago in Fayetteville.

For you being a Tennessee fan that knows nothing about baseball, I would at least expect basketball to help you out a bit here on how this all actually works.

You're right. Forgot about the single elimination game against Georgia. Still a really terrible finish. And the injury excuse is pathetic. Everybody has injuries. I'd love to see LSU with their top 3 bullpen arms. Probably easily win the SEC considering they were only 1 cancelled win from winning it.

Looks like Aaron Fitt is not a fan of South Carolina hosting. LINK Did I hear that right, 4 of their last 11? Please, feel free to correct me if that's not right, but no need to name call.

Not that it matters, but not a her. Just someone who forgot that first single elimination game. My apologies. No need for insults though. And I don't just mean you, but also the guy referring to someone as special ed for forgetting a game. All good though. Y'all do you.

Also, I don't think anyone is actually really upset about South Carolina hosting. It's just a little surprising is all. It's simply an observation and an opinion. My main issue is hearing the injury excuse. It's been a month of losing baseball for South Carolina. You are who you are at this point. The same for every other team right now.

Sounds like Mark Etheridge was also puzzled about SC and Kendall hinted at politics making a difference here. They have representation on the committee.

It's whatever though. I think getting that host is huge for y'all, so congrats.

6 weeks ago UofSC deserved to host and was expected to host, the a little over a month of losing baseball happened.

It was just a bit odd to see and likely a case of being the slightly taller midget.

Quite. But I’m willing to bet I was playing in Diplomatic leagues in the pan Asian circuit and travel ball in the US when you were playing rec league.

Probably the lack of a 4-12 road record sealed it for them.
