This.....no one could have predicted the west side of the storm would get shite on this much either. Hell just 24 hours ago I was projected to get 15+ inches of water by all relevant outlets (I live 20 miles west of Lafayette). I'd say I may have gotten an inch or 1.5 inches.

This storm was pretty unpredictable from jump street and they made the only decision they could at the time for the safety of all people involved.

Why not just postpone until Saturday(or even Sunday or Monday)? There are no major TV conflicts for doing this until the NFL hits regular season.

Already 2 CFB games on Sunday and 1 on Monday...

Sure. If they had known the direction the storm was going to take then. Well, I don't know if a Sunday would actually work or not. I'm not privy to their logistical challenges.

Do you not think the State of LA has more important issues to attend to at this time? Think of the resources that may have been diverted to help their more southerly neighbors. Families that have folks in other parts of the state.

You won't be happy no matter what so just stay mad and leave it alone.

No one GAF about how mad you are.

If they could have made the decision today or yesterday perhaps that would have been an option.

Someone from MS, as much as your state has taken a beating from hurricans, should be able to comprehend this.

Sunday, September 2nd Shreveport Forecast:

Sunny, 0% chance of rain.

You're telling me it couldn't be moved to Sunday instead of 13 October?

do you think all the evacuees who have snapped up all the hotel rooms will just magically vanish on Sunday?

never mind the strain it would put on the team for the game vs Florida the following week.

This was done to take away their Bye Week before they play LSU.

If LA Tech is leading the Aggie Nation around by the nose ring.....you are in for a rude awakening once the Ole Miss and Vanderbilt's of the league get a hold of you!!!

See those bands of hitting the northwest corner of the state, that's where Shreveport is.

It may in fact be time to get over it. I think the call to cancel the game was a good one and it remains to be seen how much rain and subsequent flooding happens in Shreveport... having grown up there, there are lots of areas that are under water with not much rain.

That's Right Conspiracy Aggie. All 4 Million people in the state and GOD are conspiring against aTm. You assume LSU needs aTm to have no bye before them to skul Frick aTm to death. WRONG! But to add to your conspiracy the Governor is a Huge LSU fan!

Somehow I doubt your statement as the decision also involved the City of Shreveport.

Yeah?

you obviously don't know much about hurricanes. you just don't know where the bastards are going and it's only prudent to make decisions based on the best information available even if it pisses off aggie fans, who, based on the comments on this board seem to be a bunch of pussies, whiners and crybabies. i hope you are never in charge of anything important.

Hotel rooms.

You have people in town for the Port City Classic on Saturday at 6pm, they are certainly going to be spending the night if they drove from any distance.

Labor Day Weekend. There are casinos. Those idiots are going to be there all weekend dropping the paycheck into the slot machine.

Hurricane refugees who were evacuated, were flooded out or had no electricity and decided to leave for awhile.

You could play the game, but where would anyone stay?

This was but a minor speed bump on the road to worldwide dominance.
