If this is true, then why did your AD and head coach just roll over and let it happen?

No I haven't. And it looks like you are military and I sincerely thank you for your service. However, I am just saying that a decision had to be made on an unpredictable storm in a state that got destroyed by Katrina, so it is hard to blame them for choosing to be safe than sorry.

Again thanks for your service to our country, but at the same time I hope we beat your team's arse to no end next weekend.

Now you STFU and get workin on that jar damnit.

Get over it.

I guess someone from College Station would call New Orleans a small town.

Trust me, there's nothing worse than going through basically three months' worth of Hurricane Katrina, which is what a Korean Monsoon season (Mid June-early September) is, then following that up with blizzard season from December - February.

Fact of the matter is, the guy didn't do this for public safety - he dodged us at the first opportunity so he could stall for better ticket sales.

Your above quote could not be more false. LA Tech fans and admistration are devastated this game did not go as planned for many reasons.

1. How many extra tickets do you think were going to be sold on gameday? The vast majority of tickets that were going to be sold ALREADY were sold. August 13 is the same day LSU will have a top ten matchup with S Carolina. Tickets was not the issue. The TV exposure was going to be a much bigger deal for a program like Tech. They have lost that by moving the game.

2. Tech is completely bummed knowing they had a much better chance winning tonight than later. A&M breaking in a new coach, scheme, qb, etc.. Tech had a legit shot tonight.... Later in the season, probably not so much.

The irony of all the Aggie fan whining is that the game being move helped them more than it did LA Tech.

the decision was made at the state level in order to take away A&M's bye week before LSU

your monsoon experience has literally nothing to do with what is going on now.

for the millionth time, its NOT about the weather in Shreveport. Its about what is happening to all the people that will have to be going through the area to get away from flooding and power outages.

Why is this so difficult for you to understand?

You obviously aren't anywhere near this storm. There are some places that are above sea level where the flooding (5+ feet) is worse than Katrina and Gustav. And no, it is not in a southermost Parish.

Seriously, open the link. The rain is all on the west side (as it always is) and that's ~200 miles east of Shreveport in another state. You're talking about a pretty major "wiggle".

In my experience most of the heavy rain is on the east side of a hurricane.

The decision was made. It's done.
Time to move ahead and play the cards we've been dealt.
Bring on Florida.

I'm with you on the cancellation policy. Protection of life and property far outweighs a football game. My intent was to show the fallacy of the poster claiming that rain is "to the west of a hurricane (as it always is)"

Rational posts from the Aggy fanbase will not be tolerated here. You have been warned.

Drac - That's actually a brilliant move. We'll do our best to soften them up for you as the Gumps like to say.

Wow, there are some true dipshits in this thread.

Common sense tells you, Hurricanes spin counter clockwise, land and dry air diminish the rain and strength, the intensity comes from energy being transformed from the warm gulf waters.

Gulf is to the south, Land is to the north, dry air mass to the north and west. The Rain that is in MS right now will rotate into N. LA and S. Arkansas. I'm hoping Ark/OK/MO get a nice drencher we need the rain in a bad bad way.

Didn't mean to address your post. You were just at the end of the thread at the time.

The rain is indeed mostly on the East side.

Maybe Texas, in all their arrogance, use a different compass that the rest of us. It's probably in Spanish anyway.

The Aggy tears may be needed for drought conditions in their desert but LA can do without them. They are getting enough water.

Sunday, September 2nd Shreveport Forecast:

Sunny, 0% chance of rain.

You're telling me it couldn't be moved to Sunday instead of 13 October?
