I have zero doubts that Bama could get Herman, if that is who Bama wanted.

I would hope we could do better than Herman.

I think they'd go hire Dabo before taking a chance on Herman

Dabo will definitely be Bama's next coach. Bookmarked for when it happens.

The irony of losing a coach to Texas is well...

Ironic.

My point being, lsu is not in the same league as Bama when you consider past history and traditions.

There would definitely be a faction that would push hard for Dabo. I think Jimbo would also be in play. In the end I have a feeling that with Dabo's Bama ties, the "good ole boys" would win the day, and Dabo would be hired. But we'd definitely have our choice between the two.

He'll probably have a very similar record to Gene Stallings except Dabo will field teams with great offenses and terrible defenses instead of great defenses and terrible offenses.

Dabo is a no brainer. There's not a coach with a better track record we could realistically get. Add in he's an alum, would dedicate himself to the job and wouldn't leave, it's a slam dunk

CNS retiring is the only think LSU fans can hope for these days.
