well than maybe sankey can explain that in his lawsuit, I'd love to see him try since he said this has always been a rule

Sankey will just claim that he tried to prevent the NBA player from playing for Bama, with no mention of the clear difference in his actions towards LSU in this instance

That was my point. There is a clear distinction in his reaction. Especially when you consider that the Alabama situation was 10 times worse than this

There was not a specific SEC rule against it at the time. When he was ruled ineligible both the player and Alabama let it go.
The SEC has made it abundantly clear to LSU it is against the rules and LSU appears to still be full steam ahead.

This is correct. Texas has1 guy who played for Texas last year, didn't get drafted our sign any contracts. He is eligible under the current system and I fact never left school.

It is very rude to ask a question in response to a question. I honesty don’t even know how to see who has and has not attended an NFL minicamp.
I do not know who all has or has not attended minicamps.

Your argument is he wasn't paid enough to be professional despite wearing the uniform, practicing with the team and signing agreements to do so. Do you even hear yourself

Wrong, he received a TRO that went to the Alabama Supreme Court and once he lost that he could no longer play. They fought it as far as they could, same as LSU.

And this is exactly our point. They are specifically targeting LSU when there have been much more egregious violations at other schools. Thanks for getting on board with us Captain!

I’ve answered all of your questions, and I’ll answer this one for you. It has never happened, because for the entire history of football up until last month, any player who left college and received money from a minicamp was considered a professional and therefore ineligible

He entered the NFL draft. Pretty sure you have to submit paperwork to do that.
And he received NFL level coaching at these mini camps. Pretty sure he had to sign something to try out, if not a waiver. I’m sure the teams compensates them to try out. Sounds like a professional to me.

Sankey Said the rule always existed, maybe he shouldn't have incriminated himself like that
Unless it is your contention that until a couple weeks ago, pro players were allowed in the SEC. Wonder why we haven’t been playing them all this time!
