It's amazing you guys go to attacking you will not answer the question to why does Alabama claim some championships you know that you didn't earn. It's an easy question.

For the record: Namath scored on 4th & goal, so Bama, by all rights, should have won. So this debate is genuinely pointless.

The problem is the goal posts are always moving with this argument. Want to exclude anything prior to the poll era? Fine. But anything between 1936-1991 has to be a major poll correct? The bowl coalition and bowl alliance between 1991-1997. The BCS from 1998-2013. The CFP from 2014-present.

Arkansas may have been more deserving if the format was post-bowl results. Arkansas was just unfortunate. Alabama is king of 1964.

this is wrong - FWAA was a major polling organization at the time and gave their title to Arkansas.
