How is LSU on that list? They are part of the pack, not separating from it.

Not really. Matchups matter, and you don't know what you don't know until you know it. You know?

A ranked win. Kentucky and Miss St coming up will be somewhat decent tests.

Decent until LSU wins.

Hell, even if LSU lucks out and beats Bama it won’t be a quality win.

Yeah. It is UGA, Bama and Ut. Everyone else has a major flaw. Throw in Miami and OSU, and your NC winner will be from these teams.

I would argue that UGA's defense hasn't really been tested; so, we don't know if UGA has a flaw or not.

Bama
UGA

Texas

LSU

OM

I think that’s the order and spacing right now. LSU has the potential to move up, and I think they can only get better assuming they avoid injuries, but they don’t deserve to be in the top tier just yet.

LSU lost to Ole Miss, who then lost to Florida, who then lost to Mizzou.

I'm not sure where/how that is separating. Let's see them get a good win first.

That Clemson win is doing a lot of heavy lifting.

All the LSU fans should remember how Land Kiffin coaches in big games. Just a thought.

I'd go UGA, Bama as the top two. Texas and Kentucky as toss ups for 3rd and 4th.

I didn't have victories over Vanderbilt, Miss State and McNeese High on my bingo card as criteria for greatness.

Playing one bad half against OM defensively makes LSU a middle of the pack team?

I do think the Kentucky game next weekend will tell us what LSU has going forward. LSU lacks a true #1 WR and the losses of TreyDez Green, Whit Weeks, and Spears hurts. Defense is nasty when they play pressure.

I was surprised to see Kamario Taylor look terrible yesterday. Was he injured? You can't give Bama 21 points like that and expect to do anything. Kelon looked great but MSU was just poor. They are not ready for primetime. Bama is looking damn good.

Texas is salty with Arch giving them just enough offense. Their D line is elite and that is an understatement.

UGA looks like UGA. Dudes everywhere.

Tennessee needs to find an offense and fast. Defense is fantastic.

Mizzou is showing what it can be and that is a dynamic team that can play with anyone.

Florida has to be able to run the ball with Baugh and Clark plain and simple as Philo cannot win with his arm.

Auburn has some studs on Defense and a running back for a QB. The boneheaded 4th down call at the end of the game was poor form by Golesh. They need to figure out what a forward pass is and how to throw and complete one.

Vandy will put up a fight but they have no juice right now.

Kentucky is gritty and they play with confidence. They have a few nice players.

State without Fluff and a healthy Kamario won't win anything.

Arkansas...

ATM needs to feature Rueben Owens and the other 3 running backs and not have Marcel Reed make decisions other than to pull and run.

Ole Miss should spam Chambliss to Deuce and not ever try to run the ball again without Lacy. I'm curious to see how they run the rest of the schedule.

SCar...see Arkansas

LSU is an upper middle of the pack team. I think Missouri is better
